Stepping Into Spring | Designer's at Avenue 32

Spring has well and truly sprung here in the UK. The weather has become significantly warmer, the birds are chirping and the nights are staying lighter for longer! It's always lovely to see these changes, and also the changes in fashion as we pack away our knitted jumpers and woolly socks to make way for the pretty dresses and sandals during the warmer months! This brings me onto todays post featuring some designer items from Avenue 32 - who are an online fashion retailer selling well established designer names, along with brand new designers and emerging talents too, so you're bound to find something that's hot off the press in the fashion world! They have some really beautiful jewellery from Maria Black - its like a rose gold heaven! As well as some stylish workwear by Antonio Berardi, pretty pastel skirts and dresses by Alice McCall!

I thought it would be nice to feature a few of my favourite items from their website in a spring fashion inspiration wishlist...

A New Solution To Defeat Hair Loss

It’s easy to spend a fortune on a set of extensions or a wig to cure those hair loss woes, but with more technically advanced treatments such as the Enhance System – a non-surgical treatment by Hair Solved - you can achieve a more realistic and longer-lasting result without having to break the bank.

Enhancer System

Hair Solved developed The Enhance System so that customers could achieve a natural head of hair that would not only be easy to maintain but would protect the remaining head hair. The Enhance System is made up of a high durability scalp mesh, which allows small strands of hair to be carefully threaded through to replicate the natural flow of real hair. Specialist tools are used to secure the mesh with the avoidance of techniques like heat and glue, as this can worsen already damaged hair.

What are the benefits of non-surgical treatments?

-          Non-surgical treatments don’t remove any existing hair. Rather than interfere with your hair, it works alongside it to protect it and aid regrowth.
-          Some surgical procedures may not be successful, which often results in further surgery. Non-surgical treatments, like The Enhancer System, provide effective results that if maintained, can last between 18 months to 3 years.
-          You will receive advice as to what colour and texture would best suit you but your replacement hair can be customised any way you desire. There are several options to choose from and fully trained staff on hand so you aren’t limited with what you can have.
-          It’s cheaper and less intimidating than having surgery and you don’t have to go through the scary notion of having to prepare yourself for going under anaesthetic.
-          The results are instant so you leave the studio the very same day with a beautiful head of hair that has been cut and styled to your desire.
-          You won’t have to feel insecure or concerned about people noticing that your hair isn’t real. With the treatment being the most effective and natural-looking hair you can get, you won’t feel worried about standing out to others.
-          It’s easy to maintain and when you need the mesh replacing, you return to the studio and the staff does it for you. Unlike wigs and toupees, you won’t have to worry about it smelling bad or the costly upkeep it entails.
-          Unlike surgery there are no side effects to non-surgical treatments because there’s no medication involved. You know you will receive guaranteed results and can carry on with a normal life.

It is essential to consider your options - no matter what your hair loss story may be - when it comes to finding the right result for you. It’s easy to go for a quick fix to cure your insecurity and to hide your problem, but it’s really important to explore the different choices before committing to anything.
Hair Solved have a great outlook and philosophy on why non-surgical treatments and the Enhancer System gives the most natural and accurate results to ensure maximum customer service and satisfaction.
Check out Hair Solved’s FAQ for more information on the treatment and with an up to 50% cheaper price rate than other leading consultancies, you’re sure to leave the studio feeling completely happy with the result.

Taking care of your prom dress after the party

Are you worried about how to look after your prom dress once you get home? Worried about wrinkling your dream gown? Maybe you’ve spilt something on the dress during the after party and need to get the stain out.

Here are some great tips that will help you look after your 2015 prom dresses. Always remember to follow the usual rules for stain removal.

Dry Cleaning First

We all know that dry cleaning can extend the life of a garment. By correctly cleaning and handling 2015 prom dresses, you can reap these rewards:

• Minimize color fading
• Keep your dress looking fresher for longer
• The fabric life can be extended which means your precious purchase will last longer.

If you should be unfortunate enough to get a stain on the gown, deal with it as soon as you can. The longer you leave it, the more time the stain dry and soak in, it becomes a lot harder to get rid of. Identify the cause of the stain so that you can deal with how to remove it. Then take the dress straight to the dry cleaner.

Dealing with Wrinkles

It’s a great idea to have 2015 prom dresses steamed or pressed. A cool iron also does the trick – use a piece of white cloth on top of the dress to protect it, though.

To keep the prom dress from getting wrinkled in the car on the way to the prom, push as much of the fabric as you can to one side so that you sit on as little of it as possible.

Once you get home, give the dress plenty of space to breathe. Make sure nothing touches the dress that will make it turn colors or wrinkle.

The Basics of Stain Removal

• Treat stains as soon as you possibly can
• Always test the treatment method first on a hidden area of the gown before you treat the actual stain
• Make sure you rub the stain from the back of the dress fabric
• Be sure to read and follow the manufacturer’s care instructions
• Don’t iron or dry a stained dress until the stain has been removed
• Avoid rubbing the stain, rather scrape or blot it
• To blot stains, use a clean white towel
• Great all-purpose stain removals include baking soda, club soda, salt, and lemon juice

Make Up Stains

If your 2015 prom dresses get lipstick, eye shadow or mascara stains, dampen the stain using warm water and rub with a detergent that has color safe bleach. You can rub the detergent right on the stain until there is no more outline. Wash the dress is the hottest water it is allowed.

For stains like foundation, lip and eye liners and concealer, dampen the stain with warm water and rub gently with liquid laundry detergent. Next, rinse the area and wash the dress in the warmest water it can take.

Nail Polish Stains

These can be almost impossible to get out, depending on the fabric. Try nail polish remover by placing the dress face down on paper towels and blot the back of the mark.

Ink Stains

For these unfortunate marks, try pen eraser or soak the stain in rubbing alcohol.

Grass Stains

If your 2015 prom dresses suffer grass stains, try wiping with alcohol and applying a mild chlorine bleach.

Coffee and Tea Stains

As soon as you spill coffee or tea on the dress, run the stain under cold water. You can also pre-treat the stain using fabric prewash before washing.

Oil or Grease

For these marks, use a liquid pre-treatment and then wash the dress in warm water. If the stain is still there, lie it face down on paper towels and then rub with a dry cleaning solvent.

Mud Stains

Leave mud to dry before scraping off as much as you can. Then soak the stain for about 15 minutes using a detergent and water.

Sweat Stains

Simply rub a moistened bar of soap right on the affected area. You can then apply liquid detergent and wash.

Finally, to treat blood stains, use a paste of corn starch, talcum powder or cornmeal and water. Leave to dry and then brush it off.

Life Update | I got a new job! What I Wore To The Interview

You may have noticed that as of late there has been a huge lack of content here on my blog, as usual I am here to apologise for my absence...

Unfortunately my life seems to have literally fell apart in recent months but I'm currently in the process of building it back up again! By saying that, I mean literally everything! NEW HOME...I am currently in the process of applying for a new place to live, alone! FRESH START...My relationship has pretty much hit rock bottom after 5+ years, neither of us are happy so its time to move on.

NEW JOB...I had been in my previous job for almost 4 years, it was my first "proper" job after school/college, they had took me on with no experience and trained me up and although I am very grateful for that, I eventually felt I was taken for granted, and not paid enough for what I was doing for the company, also my office manager seemed to have it in for me and made each day a misery for me, so I began looking for new jobs online! I found websites such as Jobcentre, City Calling and Indeed particularly useful.

I wanted to try something new and more challenging, but found that you need to have experience for pretty much every job out there! But I applied for an Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger Clerk position anyway. I had no experience whatsoever in this position, but I put a lot of time into updating and re-designing my CV and was invited for an interview.

I was very nervous after not attending any kind of interview for almost four years! But I decided to have a pamper session the evening before to relax myself and help me feel my best! I had already picked out my outfit which I was going to wear. I decided to dress reasonably smart but not too OTT. I found out my grey trouser suit which I bought from Primark about 3 years ago, and paired it with a pretty nude coloured chiffon tie front blouse. I wore nude coloured flat shoes(I wouldn't have felt comfortable wearing heels) and accessorised simply but effectively with my Fossil Rose Gold Watch and a nude tote bag! I really enjoyed dressing up smart for a change!

(Image features items similar to what I wore for my interview)

Anyway, my interview went well, and I waited to hear from them, but I got a phone call that same day from my interviewers, who said they were impressed with my positive attitude and thought I would be more than capable to do the job, so they offered me the job that day, despite still having a couple more applicants to interview! I was thrilled to say the least. I have now been in the job for almost 3 weeks and it's going very well. Onwards and upwards from here I hope!

Have any of you faced any new challenges in your life lately?

Five Ways To Spice Up Your Workplace Wardrobe

The spring season does not need to be the hardest to dress for, yet it doesn’t have to be a predictable exercise, either. With weather that can change at the drop of a hat, anything goes. Here are some of our top picks and fashion advice to spice up your springtime wardrobe.

Dressing appropriately in the spring time can be a very harrowing experience. With new colour schemes bursting onto the scene every single year, various fashions and trends from how a garment is cut, to the material that it is made from – looking your best in springtime can be a tall order.

Let’s face it, not everyone is cut out to be a fashionista; picking appropriate matching corporate clothing on any given day simply does not come naturally to every single person on this earth. It is sad but true, so we thought we would compile the best tips and advice that we could for both men and women to help everyone slip into spring fashion a little bit easier this year.

Trending Time Period
Every year it seems, we are slipping a little bit further into the past, and then right back again. Last year it was the authentic vintage look of the Great Gatsby, and this year we’re coming back a little bit closer to present day fashion – but not too close – this year popular fashion is borrowing a page from the 1970s.

For a man that means button up shirts with floral patterns, and for a woman that means borrowing a look from Jackie Brown. While natural earth tones seem to have dominated the 1970s, there is still always room for a colourful floral pattern on a man.

Bring the Noise
Stripes, plaid, and checked tailoring are back in style again. And a little bit of action in the patterns and lines of your wardrobe can make all the difference between fashion forward and fashion flop.

When it comes to stripes, if you possess a thinner build, make sure that the lines are moving horizontally. And if you are a little larger then we suggest making your stripes flow vertically. Stripes are a great way to add or remove the appearance of body mass.

Checked tailoring is becoming increasingly popular among men, as businesses attire moves away from plain solid colours to clothing with more depth and texture.

Scarves are no longer just for women. Maybe it’s our culture’s current obsession with protest movements, or Maybe Johnny Depp’s influence is finally gaining, but whatever the case more men are wearing scarves today than ever before.

Whatever your gender, a good scarf will provide both function and fashion. A solid wool scarf with checked tailoring and adorned with any popular spring colour such as green, brown, or blue will add sophistication to your wardrobe while preparing you for a random rainstorm or a cold front.

Personal Flair
A little bit of personal flair in one’s workplace wardrobe can completely reinvent an outfit. A carefully placed accessory can really make an outfit pop, while demonstrating your attention to detail. I personally like to use my own personal flair to somewhat lower the intensity of a powerful outfit.

For example, if I’m dressed to the nines with an Armani suit, tie, and immaculately polished brown leather shoes – I may have to rock a pair of socks with animal from the Muppets on them. Most people won’t even notice they were ever there, but I know that I have Animal on my feet … and sometimes I am the only one that I am trying to impress.

The Ground Rules
At the end of the day, no matter what you mix into the equation it is important not to let one attribute or another dominate your entire outfit. For every little bit of fun, have an equal measure of serious. For every brace, loud, noisy pattern – be sure to include enough solid colours to balance it out. Or no colour at all.

And always remember; the spring season is one of the most unpredictable seasons all year round, and it’s just the right time for you to be a little bit unpredictable, too.

Which is the best Ladies Day experience in the UK?

A race course can never be complete if there are no ladies around. While your reason may be different, their dresses bring in a lot of life in the races. This is their only chance to show the different dress styles along, as everyone tries to stand out within the public stares and the media glares. They love attracting as much camera flicks, probably more than how the race itself would make for the day. It has been evident in various race courses in the UK as we can see below:

Crabbies Grand National
Race goers at Crabbies Grand National are always extremely keen with the sense of class and elegance they bring along. A breath-taking moment does not start with the race, but with the presentation of the ladies. 2014 was an amazing year for the ladies and the most impressive fashionista position was highly contested. The judges had a hard time on deciding on who to crown, owing to the unique dress styles ladies had. Be part of the impeccable dressers, and have an opportunity to catch the attention you’ve been dreaming of. Tickets for the festival, which will be held on April 11, 2015, go for only 39pp. So far, more than 5,000 advance tickets have already been sold, and you’d better get yours soonest possible, lest you miss out.

Royal Ascot
No horse race sets to be greater than the Royal Ascot in the UK. The thrilling race is quite competitive, and it is easy to judge that from the rousing cheers. Different from Crabbies Grand National, the dress code at Royal Ascot is quite defined and strict. However, this does not deny a touch of glamour among the ladies.

Formal wear has been insisted for the race goers. The race organizers are rather concerned with the length of the dresses and skirts for the ladies. The reasonable length has been stated to be slightly above the knee. The tops and dresses need to have an inch or greater length of their straps. Strapless tops won’t be allowed. They should also have the hats. Trouser suits of full length and matching colours are also allowed. Anything else apart from this, is not allowed in the race. The five-day occasion, which sets to commence at 17th June, will as usual, not disappoint.

Cheltenham Festival
For some reason, Cheltenham Festival is known to host very impeccably dressed spectators. The occasion does not have any definite dress code. However, fancy dresses and clothing may be highly discouraged by the unpredictable weather, since the event is mostly held during the winter season. However, baffling expectations are always fulfilled by the ladies who don’t mind the weather.

Glorious Goodwood
From the previous Glorious Goodwood event experiences, spectators look nothing but glorious! From all corners of the country, dressing here is given a priority, higher than spectating the equestrian events. Notable celebrities attend, wearing spectacular dresses. Indeed, the ladies day in this event could not go unnoticed. Although the event seems to be of the mighty and high, everyone is allowed to attend, as long as you afford it.

The best gift you can ever give to a lady in UK, is getting her a glamorous and unique dress, which she can flaunt during one of the many events held. It’s quite clear that ladies love attention, a positive attention of course. It can never get better if she doesn’t get a dress from Forever Unique. For decades, we have been dressing ladies with luxurious dresses, which go in different quality, designs, colours, and match different personalities.

Mothers Day Gift Idea | Floral Cupcakes - Cupcake Ingredients & Method

Mothers Day Cupcakes, Custom cupcakes, cupcake boxes,
cupcakes, cupcake decorating, cake baking, cupcake recipe, floral cupcakes, pretty cupcakes for mothers day

One of my favourite things to do now that I'm living in my own home is to cook and bake, and one of the easiest and simplest things to bake are cupcakes!! I cannot tell you how many times I've made them, and I use the same recipe every time (a recipe which I actually learnt whilst I was in secondary school during cooking lessons) and it has served me well.

The best thing about cupcakes is that although the basic recipe is almost always the same, you can swap or add ingredients to your personal tastes! For example, make chocolate cupcakes instead of vanilla, or add some choc chips or fudge pieces to the mixture, add liquid flavouring, or even add lots of food colourings to make rainbow cupcakes as seen on the Great British Bake Off

Not only can you switch up the ingredients in the cake mixture, but there are thousands of ways you can decorate your cupcakes too, whether it be using fondant icing to cover or make decorations, or even just piping some tasty buttercream icing on top, so you could pretty much make a cupcake for any occasion! Hence today's post where I thought it would be a nice idea to make some cupcakes for Mother's Day! I made two lots, one for my mom, and one for Ashley's mom :) Here is my basic vanilla cupcake and buttercream icing recipe/method:

120g self raising flour
1 tsp baking powder

- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees/ Gas mark 4.
- Line your 12 hole cupcake tray with paper cupcake cases.
- Cream your butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl.
- Beat in your eggs 1 at a time and stir.
- Add your vanilla extract and stir.
- Mix together your flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Sieve the flour/baking powder mixture into your mixture.
- Fold the flour into the mixture until smooth and creamy.
- Mix in your milk until the mixture is of a dropping consistency.
- Spoon the mixture into your cake cases until all are filled evenly, no more than halfway up the case.
- Bake in the oven for between 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
(Insert a knife or skewer into the cake and if it comes out clean this means your cake is cooked!)
- Take out of the baking tray and leave on a cooling rack whilst you're making your buttercream...

150g butter (room temp)
350g icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp food colouring of your choice
1 tsp milk

- Place your butter in a mixing bowl and then sieve in half of the icing sugar and stir until smooth.
- Pour in your vanilla extract, food colouring and milk and mix until smooth.
- Sieve in the remainder of your icing sugar and stir until you have a thick creamy consistency.
- Once your cakes have cooled you can use a piping bag to decorate your cakes with the buttercream.

rose made from icing, cake decorating, pretty cupcake, flowers for cupcakes, rose on cupcake,

Finally I added pretty roses made from regal icing(shop bought). All I had to do was add a food colouring, and knead through the icing until evenly spread, before I followed this amazing tutorial on how to make roses from icing without any tools! This was my first attempt at these and I think they turned out really well and look super pretty! I then finished off by adding a single edible pearl to the centre of each rose!

What do you think of this little gift idea? Have you got any handmade gifts for your mom? :)

I cannot begin to tell you how long I have wanted a Rose Gold watch in my life! Of course, like every other fashion blogger on the planet I've lusted after a Michael Kors. However being a born bargain hunter, quickly came to realise that there were plenty of other brands with watches just as beautiful as the MK's, at a fraction of the price! One brand in particular which seemed to encapsulate everything I was looking for in a watch is Fossil. Oh and I have since discovered that Fossil actually manufacture the Michael Kors watches anyway!

Unfortunately, living on a VERY tight budget I have not been able to treat myself to such luxuries. However, I was recently lucky enough to be offered a gift for consideration of review from Joshua James Jewellery - and quickly decided upon this gorgeous Fossil Stella Rose Gold Watch - and let me tell you, it is absolutely perfect! This particular model is the Fossil Stella ES3590 which is made from Rose Gold plated stainless steel and has a bracelet style strap with fold over push button clasp for ease of use. The face is the ideal size for my wrists as it's not ridiculously large like some other models I've seen, and is circled with some pretty sparkling stones! The hands, dial and sub-dials all have rose gold detailing to compliment the outer sections. This watch has 3 sub-dials; date, day of the week and 24hrs - I particularly find the date one useful as I'm forever forgetting the date! Finally it is water-resistant up to 50 metres!

The watch arrives in an official Fossil Gift Box, unfortunately I am not a fan of this one, as it's a little childish and not very lady-like? But that's just a minor pointer, and you could always purchase your own gift box if required! Joshua James Jewellery sell this watch backed with the official Fossil 2 year guarantee as standard - offering you peace of mind when you purchase!

I am totally besotted with my new timepiece, but I have decided to only wear it on special occasions to make the most of it for years to come! I would highly recommend this watch to anyone, and especially if you've considered buying a Michael Kors but can't justify the price tag! After all, they're both made by Fossil anyway ;)

P.S - Looking for a last minute Mother's Day Gift Idea? Why not check out what Joshua James Jewellery have to offer? They are official, authorised stockist for some of the biggest names in the jewellery industry; Pandora, Thomas Sabo, Lovelinks, Trollbeads and Links Of London - perfect to treat your mum to something special! They have free next day delivery and a box of luxury chocolates for Mum on orders over £100!

P.P.S - I've been featured on the JJJ site, amongst a few other lovely bloggers offering a bit of advice (if you can call it that) about the hottest jewellery trends for SS15

My sister is forever changing her mind on things, and her blog is definitely one of those things, she has changed the name and style and content of it more times than I can remember. However she recently asked for the help of myself and our mom to pick a new name for her blog, and we came up with Sprinkles Of Sarah. I think this time she is happy with it and is really trying to get her blog up and running properly now!

She employed me (or so to speak, obviously non-paid haha) to design her blog from scratch for her! I shared this first design on my Instagram account, but we decided this wasn't really her style, still cute though! So I have re-designed it, and we are both much happier with the new one, its colourful, eye-catching and neat and tidy! :)

I started with the "Simple" Blogger template and designed and coded it all from there, including:
✿ Custom coded sticky navigation bar with categories.
✿ Custom made social media icons to fit in Nav Bar
✿ Custom header design.
✿ Profile picture edit.
✿ Custom hover-over effect social media buttons in sidebar.
✿ Customised "Search" button.
✿ Post signature
✿ Post footer
✿ Grab button
✿ Edited date header
✿ Edited post title
✿ Edited sidebar headers
✿ Auto-width post images.

What do you all think of this design I've done?

P.S I wish I had more time to put into graphics and design, and would love to start earning money from blog designing but unfortunately my boring, dead-end office job just takes over my life!

So...Benefit have done it again! Yep, they've taken the Beauty Blogging community by storm when they released yet another fantastic mascara! One of the cult favourites amongst beauty lovers is the Benefit They're Real Mascara. But last month saw the release of the new Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, of which I have this review on today! I, like many others, have the sample size of this mascara, which was free with ELLE magazine last month! I was actually that excited that I pre-ordered my copy online so that I didn't miss out!

Put your eyelash curlers aside girls, because Benefit claim that this mascara works the same way as rollers do for your hair! The "Hook N Roll" spoon shaped, plastic bristled wand grabs, separates, lifts and curls your lashes to provide you with extreme curl, volume and lift - in turn making your eyes appear more wide open and awakened!

To apply, start at the base of your lashes and use the specially designed wand to wiggle through the lengths to the tips, apply to your lower lash line too, and then apply another coat to your top lashes for maximum effect. Benefit do also recommend that you finish off with a coat of "They're Real" to offer more length.

I did find the formula to be a little wet, but I left the lid open for a day or so to dry out a little, and found that it worked much better with my lashes afterwards as they didn't stick together as much! Either way, the setting formula holds the curl in place all day long and does not fade or flake off. Not to mention it contains Provitamin B5 and Serin to condition your lashes! The mascara offers a deep black satin finish and is waterproof too! All in all, a win win product and I would 100% recommend you try it out!

The full size product retails at £19.50 which is over double what I'd normally pay for a high street branded mascara, but if you're looking to try something new (and you've already been paying this price for Benefit's other mascara's) then this is definitely worth it! I might even consider treating myself to the full size once the sample has run out!

Have you tried Roller Lash? What are your thoughts on it?

Miss Selfridge at House Of Fraser | Navy Wax Jacket Review

(I apologise sincerely for the quality of my photographs lately...not only did my beloved Samsung Galaxy Camera suffer a fatal fall, forcing me to use whatever camera I can find at the time. But also the cold, dark and miserable weather here in the UK has not allowed me to snap in natural daylight. Unfortunately I cannot afford a new camera due to my living situation, and I can't change the weather, so these will have to do for now, sorry!!).

It will soon be that time of year here in the UK where it's not cold enough to wear a big parka anymore, yet its not quite warm or dry enough to get away with going outside without a jacket! I was recently asked if I'd like to choose something from the coats and jackets at House Of Fraser. I was given a budget of £30. Now, if like me your initial thoughts were something alone the lines of "£30, that won't get you a jacket from House Of Fraser!" Well, I was proven wrong. House Of Fraser sell many different brands of clothing, and this particular jacket is from Miss Selfridge. Admittedly, it is now in the sale for just £25, reduced from £65. But there are tonnes of other great value items which you wouldn't expect to find at such a store.

The jacket I chose was the Miss Selfridge Navy Wax Jacket. It is a lightweight jacket, ideal for the upcoming months! I love wearing deep, rich colours during the winter months, so the gorgeous navy blue colour of this jacket is ideal! It has a slightly metallic look being a wax jacket which I really like. It is complimented with a detachable faux fur collar, checkered inner button flap, and rose gold effect buttons and zips!! The jacket fits very well, perfect in fact...despite the fact it was from the "petites" section, and I am not petite. I did find that I preferred to wear it with the waist cinched in using the elastic pulls around the waistline!

I wore the jacket to go shopping yesterday, and wore it along with a grey cowl neck knitted skater dress (which I got from a charity shop for about £2-3. A pair of standard black leggings and my New Look high leg boots with rose gold buckle. I accessorised with a long beaded gold necklace, a couple of rose gold stacker rings - both from Primark and finally my beautiful new Fossil Rose Gold Watch (which I'll be reviewing in full very soon!)

Have you ever ordered from House Of Fraser?? What are your favourite brands there?

5 Simple Ways To Get Your Blog Noticed!

There's no doubt about it, it's a daunting thing starting your own blog! When I did so (almost three years ago now) I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Of course I'd been reading and enjoying blogs for a few months beforehand but to be honest I barely knew anything as to what it entailed. I had questions running through my mind like "what if nobody reads my blog, and if they do what if they don't like it?" and "how can I get people to notice my blog?" and "how will I afford to keep my posts regular and up to date?".

It can be quite disheartening when you're putting everything you got into writing great content for your blog, yet nobody even pays you a visit to read what you have to say! Trust me, I've been there! I don't have a huge readership, but my blog is found and I have a lot of loyal subscribers too! I'm not claiming to be an expert Blogger by any means, but I thought I'd share a few helpful tips on how to get your blog noticed!

Comment on other blogs!
I personally think this is one of the best ways to start out getting your blog noticed! At the beginning, it was literally the only way I got anyone to check out my blog! Find other blogs with a similar genre to your own, and leave a nice, relevant comment on their latest posts. Then ask politely for them to drop by your blog sometime. Leave your blog URL for them to find you easily! BUT DO NOT write "hey, great blog, follow for follow?". I personally just ignore comments like these, as you often find they have copied and pasted the exact same thing on hundreds of other blogs that day, and not paid a bit of interest in what you have to say!

Post engaging content!
Your writing and posts are the main reason anyone would be visiting your blog in the first place, and if they don't feel enticed after reading the first post they read, chances are they won't look any further. So try and keep your posts relevant and fresh. I tend to find that posting good quality, interesting images to support your writing helps to keep readers focused and engaged in the post!

Guest post on other blogs!
This may seem strange as you're trying to get your own blog noticed, not sharing your hard work on someone elses blog. Should you get the opportunity, you should occasionally guest post (remember to include back-links to your own blog and any social media platforms you want to promote too) on other blogs similar to your own. They will have different readers to you, and if someone reads your post and likes it, they're probably gonna hop right over to your blog to check out some more of your articles!

Work with brands and PR agencies!
A bit of a taboo subject really. But if you're just starting out on your blog, your blog's presence on search engines etc isn't going to be great, so nobody will find you. So although it might seem like you're being cheeky, I'd definitely recommend that YOU get in touch with the brands you would be interested in working with. I understand that a lot of brands require you to have a minimum amount of subscribers/followers. But make sure you are polite and show a genuine enthusiasm for working with them and promoting their products/services. You may or may not know that a lot of brands hire agencies to engage with bloggers and do their media planning for them! I've worked with various PR agencies over the last couple of years; one of them is Total Media - an independent media agency based in London. Not only can they help you get in touch with relevant brands, but can also provide you with new and fresh content and topic ideas for your blog!

Get social!
Sharing your posts via Social Media platforms is a great way to drive traffic to your blog! Not only is it a great way for your regular readers to keep up to date and be notified when you post, but also a way for new visitors to read your blog! I particularly recommend Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. Try and set up a separate page/account to keep your personal accounts separate from your blog accounts. That way, you don't bombard your family and friends with things they aren't interested in, or even just if you don't want your close friends to see your blog! Sharing your posts on Pinterest seems to be one of the better ways that a lot of Blogger's find to get traffic to their blog! And definitely use #HASHTAGS to make sure your posts/statuses reach the relevant people!

What advice would you offer to someone to help get their blog noticed?

2015's Most Stylish Sleepwear

With the world famous fashion shows grabbing the headlines in New York and London, it's always interesting to see what new styles the leading designers are going to dazzle us with.

However, one area that frequently seems to be omitted from the catwalks is sleepwear. Maybe it's meant to be a private choice, or maybe it's not quite as glamorous as that full-length gown. But seeing as we spend around one third of our lives in bed, I thought it's about time that I checked out the most fashionable sleepwear out there for 2015.

One of the most surprising style headlines of recent times was the incredible resurgence of the humble pyjama shirt.

The pyjamas were introduced to England in the 17th century as a form of loungewear and have repeatedly fallen in and out of fashion. But 2015 could be the year of the pyjama as Debenhams reportedly saw a 34% surge in sleepwear, with pyjamas making a subtle transition into daywear thanks to style icons like Cara Delevingne rocking the pyjama look

Recent pyjama trends include colourful floral prints on silky or cotton fabrics that work especially well when worn with a tailored jacket to add a touch of definition to your look.

And with summer swiftly approaching, it's a great and relaxed look for gracefully reclining on those long and sleepy summer afternoons!

Another on-trend sleepwear design that is making resurgence is the night-gown. This offers a much more glamorous look than the ratty T-shirt or horrendous onesie!

Top designer Vera Wang recently launched a sleepwear range with a gloriously soft cotton nightgown. The gown features a beautiful floral design in rich turquoises and purples that will offer a fantastic bit of garden party glamour to your boudoir!

Sleepwear is increasingly becoming important as our bedrooms shift from being places of sleep to areas of the house where we perform a variety of activities. That’s why it’s worth making sure that not only your sleepwear is comfortable and functional, but that your bed is up to standard, so why not treat yourself to an upgrade with a luxurious bed with fitted headboard!

The pyjama-short set
This is a very stylish and chic look that is also light enough to stop you overheating in bed. There are many matching outfits in this style and it's great to see many designers such as Honey Dew offering colour-coordinated styles that are cute, compact and highly functional!

The chemise
Although this is somewhat more glamorous than the some of the other items on the list, the chemise is a very sensual and lightweight style of sleepwear.

Calvin Klein recently introduced a typically minimalist chemise in black satin with a sharp V-neck that manages to be soft, flattering and highly stylish!

Faith In Nature Aloe Vera Shampoo + Conditioner Review

faith in nature shampoo and conditioner review, aloe vera shampoo and conditioner, faith in nature review, haircare, natural haircare, natural shampoo, natural conditioner,
Let me introduce to you my latest combination of haircare products. Which come in the form of this shampoo and conditioner from Faith In Nature - who have been manufacturing and selling their products for over forty years(read their story here)! Faith In Nature pride themselves on being eco-friendly and cruelty free! All their products are made from naturally sourced ingredients - which is what they believe makes them work so beautifully! They are also free from parabens, SLS, synthetic colours/fragrances, artificial preservatives and other kinds of potentially harmful substances. Most of their products are suitable for Vegans, and all are Vegetarian friendly!

As I mentioned in my last hair related post I've been trying to take much better care of my hair just lately, and I'd also just run out of my previous shampoo, so these products couldn't have arrived at a better time! I was invited to choose something from the Hair Care section of the website, and after browsing through all the intriguing products, I finally decided on the Aloe Vera range:

Faith In Nature Aloe Vera Shampoo - particularly useful if you have a sore or itchy scalp because Aloe Vera contains important substances for the skin and is renowned for its soothing properties. Other than this, the shampoo is suitable for all hair types, and is infused with citrus oils for an uplifting sensation - a great way to start the day! Unfortunately the gel-like formula didn't lather up as much as I'd have liked it to so I did have to wash my hair twice, but a little product still went a long way and it rinsed out easily, leaving my hair feeling wonderfully clean and refreshed. The citrus scent was very noticeable but not overpowering.

Faith In Nature Aloe Vera Conditioner - Again this would help if you have any irritating scalp problems due to the active Aloe Vera ingredient. After washing with the Aloe Vera shampoo and rinsing out the product. I massaged this conditioner through the lengths of my hair and left to sink in for about 10 minutes (although 5 minutes would be sufficient). Again the citrus scent was noticeable, and awakening! As I rinsed the product from my hair I could really feel how silky soft and smooth it had made my hair!

After using the products, both my hair and scalp felt deep-cleansed, soft, and refreshed! I also noticed a little extra shine and less frizziness to my hair than normal. Even after blow-drying! I was really impressed with the short term effects of the shampoo, and I will continue to use these products in my attempt to recover my dry and damaged hair! Finally, I should add that I was amazed at the price of these products, as they are really cheap compared to other natural/organic products I've come across. Full price they each retail at £5.35! I would definitely recommend giving the Faith In Nature range a try! I've now got my eyes on their Coconut hair care products ;)

Have you tried Faith In Nature or any other natural hair-care products, and do you notice a difference from using other high street brands?

Next thing she's wearin' my Rolex ♬

Next thing she's wearing my Rolex ♬... Yeah we all know that line of that song...

I will begin by saying, or rather stating the obvious, that given my current financial situation I could only ever dream of owning a Rolex! However many stylish and influential celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian are very often snapped wearing luxurious timepieces by Rolex, and aren't they just gorgeous?! The watches I mean! As well as the ladies wearing them of course!

Anyway, I was recently invited to check out, who are one of the worlds largest online retailers of Rolex. they have a huge range of watches and have been providing customers with a high quality service in the luxury watch industry for over a decade. All their products are covered by a 3 year warranty and have a lifetime authenticity guarantee, so you're bound to be happy with your purchase, and if not, offer a great refund and exchange policy. Swiss Wrist offer both new and used Rolex, and all their used products have been through a complete overhaul and service to restore the timepiece to it's original factory spec - guaranteeing you peace of mind!

I decided it would be a nice idea to write a little feature here on my blog showcasing some of my personal favourite watches from their website in the ladies Rolex watches section. I have pictured my 3 favourite above!

On the left, is a pre-owned 18K yellow gold piece from the Crown collection. This is my absolute favourite, and it's really not hard to see why! It's so blingy, I love it! It has a pearl face, with diamond bezel and dial - link

Next up is the two-tone rose gold watch, again this has a pearlescent face - love! This one has a fluted bezel which adds a little extra detailing! This one does have some diamonds for the dial on the face too which looks gorgeous without making the sparkles too over the top! - link

Finally, this one would be a little out of my usual style choice, but I couldn't resist because the deep navy coloured face just looks so classic and different! It's a yellow gold piece from the midsize Presidents range, and has a diamond bezel and gold dial, everything about this watch just looks completely luxurious! - link

What Rolex would you love to own?
