My Dream Kitchen | Inspiration, Pastel Colour Scheme & Wishlist ♥

home, home bloggers, home wishlist, kitchen wishlist, moving out wishlist, moving out, pastel kitchen, pretty kitchen, vintage kitchen, kitchen inspiration
If you're a regular reader of my blog, then you'll know that I'm currently planning and saving to move out of my parents house, hopefully in the very near future. So I thought it would be nice to start including home related posts on my blog! I think the kitchen is the only place which I can start thinking about, buying things for at the moment, as other rooms - living room, bedroom etc will depend on the existing carpets, colour scheme etc. So I've been buying little bits and pieces if I see them cheap enough for when I move, mainly for the kitchen, i.e pots and pans, plates, cutlery etc - I'll do a kitchen haul post soon too :)

How I'd like it to look... BRIGHT, LIGHT, COLOURFUL, PRETTY, WELCOMING and HOMELY! If I could choose to start from scratch with all the money and time in the world, here's how it would be... The cupboard units would be in an off-white or cream painted wooden finish, with traditional detailing, i.e the doors and drawers would be one colour with the outer frame a different colour, and the doors would have wood grain or panelling, and would have "cup handles" like the picture above, or some wooden knobs. The colour scheme will definitely be pastels!! I've decided that pastel pink, duck egg blue and cream will be my go-to colour scheme, regardless of what units I end up with. I don't really want anything modern or contemporary looking, and want everything to have a vintage/retro look to it. I would also like to find some old, anqtique-y bits of furniture in the charity shops and upcycle them myself to get a unique feel.

I've really found some beautiful appliances, cooking/baking and dinnerware whilst I've been browsing, and put together this wishlist for some of the prettiest things I've found so far...

home bloggers, home, home wishlist, Dunelm Mill Candy Rose Collection Pink and Duck Egg Blue Kettle Toaster Microwave Blender Mixer

I never thought to look at Dunelm Mill's home range before because I always got the impression it wasn't really my taste. But boy was I wrong... I was particularly impressed by their "Candy Rose" collection, which includes a range of small kitchen electricals, baking products, tableware and utilities. I am definitely going to buy the matching pink kettle, toaster and microwave, aren't they gorgeous! Of course I would love to get the matching blender and mixers too, but these aren't necessities. Also, I really love the retro looking, american style "trash can" in the duck egg blue, another definite buy.

home bloggers, home, home wishlist, Swan appliances, retro blue swan, fridge freezer, dishwasher, slow cooker pastel blue

These items really are "wishlist" worthy as they are way out of my budget, but they are too pretty not to mention. I think Swan are a very reliable and well known brand for kitchen products, so these would definitely be worth an investment if I could afford them! The Fridge Freezer would be a must-have... isn't it lovely, and would really stand out, compared to other boring old "white goods". It appears that Very.co.uk seem to sell a range of Swan products at reasonable prices, and it could be worth applying for a credit account and spread the cost!

home bloggers, home, home wishlist, wishlist Argos colour match range, jellybean blue and bubblegum pink knife block, utensils, cutlery

I knew that Argos did a ColourMatch range, but I had no idea they did pastel colours - these were apparently released last year and are called Bubblegum Pink and Jellybean Blue! When I found these I couldn't believe it, and the products are really reasonably priced too. At the moment I'm looking to purchase the utensils stand, knife block and scales, as I have bought cutlery and plates elsewhere. They look of a decent quality and would look lovely in a pastel themed kitchen! Not to mention they have products for the rest of the house too, not just the kitchen, so why not colour match your whole house. Finally, a bit of fun for you... Take the Argos Colour Match Personality Test Here.

home bloggers, home, home wishlist, wishlist asda george home floral ditsy pastel pink blue kitchenware baking equipment, biscuit tins, mugs

Who'd have thought it? ASDA Direct / George Home have a beautiful range of ditsy florals and pretty pastels throughout their kitchenware! Isn't the teapot, cake stand and biscuit tin so cute? Ideal for a tea party! Unfortunately the stores nearest to me don't stock their full homeware range, but I might take a little drive to a bigger store to get my hands on some of the above products. The coloured glass water jug really caught my eye because I haven't seen anything like this one elsewhere and would look great along with some matching glass tumblers.

home bloggers, home, home wishlist, home bloggers, wishlist, b&m homeware, b&m home store, b&m haul, pastel, betty winters collection, mixing bowl, heart chopping board,

B&M is literally one of my all time favourite home stores, along with Home Bargains. You can very often find some right little beauties, at amazing prices! They seem to have a lot of products in exactly the right colours for my theme at the moment, so I've already treated myself to a few from the above (mixing bowl, heart chopping board, rolling pin and pastry brush). There is a B&M website but you can only purchase in-store... probably a good thing for me otherwise I'd never have any money left if I could buy online LOL!

This concludes my wishlist, obviously there are tonnes more things I'm going to need but these are just a few little pretties that I'd love to get my hands on to make my house into a home. If you have any recommendations for places to shop for home items similar to this then do leave me a comment below!
