Old Wives Tail Argan & Rosemary Organic Oil Hair Treatment 100ml | £13.99

Since I stopped dying and straightening my hair about a year ago, I've really noticed a difference in the appearance of my hair, it feels so much healthier and stronger, and I find it much more manageable now too. However sometimes, I just feel like it needs a little bit of TLC as it can become a little lack-lustre. This is where todays product review comes into play, and it is from a relatively new company called Old Wives Tail.

What impressed me most about OWT was actually their company ethics.... "high quality, natural, chemical free, environmentally friendly haircare", they are 100% against animal testing, so they do not test their products on animals or buy from suppliers who test on animals. As if all that wasn't enough OWT also donate 10% of their profits to charities which help protect animals from testing too! Well, that's me sold on the product already haha...

Nah, I'm just kidding, onto the product itself. I chose the Argan & Rosemary Organic Oil Treatment, which claims to deeply condition, moisturise and protect thick, frizzy and unruly hair. Although I don't consider my hair to be frizzy or unruly, it is thick, and has been quite heat damaged in the past so needs to be conditioned and protected from further damage (mainly from when I blow-dry my hair). This particular treatment is formulated with pure organic argan oil and shea butter(both containing Vitamin E) which smooth and strengthen each strand of hair to prevent breakage. And the organic rosemary oil is used to stimulate the scalp to encourage hair growth and renewal.

I have used the product several times now, but I should warn you that although it provides really amazing results it is quite time consuming, so maybe relax with a cuppa and watch the tv whilst it works on your hair. You apply by using on damp hair and massaging into the scalp. You should then leave the treatment on for 1 hour, before rinsing out with water and shampoo. You should continue to do this until you can feel that your hair is free from the product. You can then use your normal conditioner on the ends of your hair and rinse, dry then style as normal. The product can also be used after blow-drying... use a tiny amount to tame and soften the mid to ends of your hair.

As I mentioned, I've used this a few times, and because you only need a small amount of product, the 100ml pot will last you through probably 10-15 uses depending on your hair type, so well worth investing the £13.99. Overall, the product has left my hair feeling amazing, and smelling great after each use.  I cannot recommend this company and product enough!

Give your hair the love and care it deserves with Old Wives Tail!
