Sk:n Clinic | Skin Peels

Who wouldn't want healthier, more radiant looking skin that feels smooth and has a flawless appearance?! Well one way to achieve this is through a Skin Peel Treatment, sounds scary, right? Well TV Programs such as "10 Years Younger" and "Embarrasing Bodies" very often feature skin peels and the results which can be achieved from this kind of treatment, and they really are life-changing!

Today I'd like to talk about Sk:n Clinic and the skin treatment they offer. Sk:n have clinics based all over the UK where they have helped over half a million clients achieve the results they want for over 20 years. They do this by employing only the most experienced doctors and dedicated staff and using the latest clinically approved technology and products! Sk:n are trusted specialists for treatments including Botox®, laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal and skin peels - which is the main topic for todays post!

skin peel is a non-invasive treatment which removes dead skin cells and encourages new ones to grow, which in turn leads to a healthier, glowing and youthful-looking appearance. They can be used to treat various skin problems including wrinkles/lines, acne scars, hyper-pigmentation and even sun damage. A chemical formula is applied to the skin which will remove the top layer of damaged skin and reveal the softer skin beneat.

A chemical peel brightens, lightens and tightens your skin, revealing a more youthful looking you! Chemical peels are not only fast (usually between 15-20 minutes) but effective too, as you will notice almost instant results. With maximum results achieved with 2-4 treatments.

There are various types of peel which vary in strength from light to deep. The doctors and nurses at the clinic would be able to give you the best advice as to which treatment would be best suited to you for your skin type, condition, tone and what your particular skin concerns are. The Chemical peels available at Sk:n are:

Jessner's Peel: a light chemical peel, for all skin types to smooth and rejuvinate skin, ideal for treating acne, discolouration, moderate wrinkling and sun damage.

TCA Peel: a skin peel which takes off the upper layers of skin smoothing rough patches, eliminates artificial wrinkles and removes spots/pigmentation. It is ideal for the treatment of sun damage, fine lines/wrinkles, age spots and acne scars.

Mandelic Peel: This skin peel is recommended for sensitive skin and dark toned skin. It smoothes and softens, whilst diminishing fine lines, reduces acne breakouts and evens discolouration.

Glycolic Peel: This stimulates the growth of new, healthy skin by removing the top layers of dead skin and revealing the smoother and brighter under-layers of skin. This is the deepest strength of peel and penetrates deep below the surfae and stimulates cell regeneration and the production of collagen. It is effective for treating sun spots, acne scars, blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles

Cable and Cotton String Lights* (set of 20) | £22.95

I feel that no matter how empty or sparse a room may be, a set of pretty fairy lights add a relaxing and calming ambience and make it feel more homely! Cable and Cotton have taken this to a whole new level with these unique and quirky string lights... They come in three different lengths; 20,35 and 50 lights and you can select one of their colour sets or choose your own, perfect if you are matching to a specific colour theme. I received the set of 20 string lights, which arrived very well packaged and unassembled, this is great because you can then arrange your lights in the order of how you want them! Each and every cotton lamp is hand-made in Thailand, and by purchasing you are supporting the livelihood and year-round income of these ethically employed, skilled craftswomen, whilst making your home look beautiful and at the same time! I picked a range of pastel and neutral shades(Pure White, Ivory, Pale Pink, Pale Blue, Pale Grey) to match with my bedroom, where I've hung them and doubled the length up along my shelves. I love how they look, and would definitely recommend the service and product from Cable and Cotton! These would make a really lovely gift, especially for someone who's just moved into a new home!

Modity Dress* - Pink | Darccy | £64£80
Diamante Nude Sandals | Primark | £4
Floral Headband | Primark | £2.50
Geneva Flower Watch | eBay | £1.16

I was recently introduced to Darccy via the etailPR blogger network. Darccy are a unique brand who offer an amazing range of vintage inspired clothing, accessories and handbags. A lot of their dresses feature floral patterns, flirty designs and lace detailing - which is all "right up my street" and I couldn't believe it when this gorgeous dress arrived in the post for me!

The Darccy Modity Dress* is very elegant, yet fun and flirty at the same time. It is a two-piece dress with a gorgeous ivory lace bodice with full length sleeves, leading into a skater style plain nude-pink skirt. The dress is well fitted, and does not offer much stretchiness, however it really feels great to wear and very comfortable.

I decided to wear this dress with my cute nude diamante sandals and a cute floral headband, both absolute bargains from Primark, and finally my pretty Geneva Floral Watch which I wrote about in my eBay Jewellery Haul post. I'm wearing No7 "Orange Spice" on my finger and toe nails. I think the dress would have also looked amazing with a pair of nude heels and with a vintage inspired up-do for your hair for a more formal look!

What do you think of this dress... would you wear it, and how would you have styled it?

The best neutral colours for blondes

Image From We Heart It - http://weheartit.com/entry/51669852
Image From AllYouNeedIsLists - http://allyouneedislists.com/lifestyle/10-trend-worthy-spring-2011-fashion-trends/

There is no Miami photographer that hasn’t captured a blonde girl. Sometimes, it even seems that the women are divided in two categories: the blondes and the rest of them. Just because this hair color somehow defines a woman’s style and way of living, let’s talk about the shades that fit the blondes the best. Especially, we’re interested in neutral shades, because they’re silent and chic.

Just as for the brunettes, the neutral shade palette is fairly easy to determine for blondes. However, before describing them it is necessary to give you some additional details: when choosing the right colors, the brightness of the hair color matters (platinum blonde, white or dark blonde) and the "temperature" (reddish blonde, golden blonde, ash blonde). Although, most of the blondes look good in black, this is not a color that really embellishes them. Actually, navy, blue ink, indigo or elegant shade of gray will put more value on the whole look. Black wraps them in an aura of severity, it tightens features and it highlights the wrinkles (if there are any).

Beige fits every single blonde, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that you should always dress in all-beige outfits. Try to balance the light brown color with another delicate shade. Cool colors will make any golden blonde look pale and will give to her an ashen complexion. This is why, focus your attention on warm shades that will bring to the whole look a harmony.

For those whose shade of blonde is a hot one (golden blonde, red blond, honey blond), the bangs are the starting point for finding the perfect neutral palette. Some of neutral colors that suit them are warm white, ivory, antique white, cream, beige, camel and caramel beige, light olive green, light tan and khaki, brown, copper, sepia, blue, brown cognac, medium gray.

Blondes are always happy. At least they seem like they’re always sunny and everything in their lives is alright. That’s why, in the end, it doesn’t really matter the color of your outfit. Sometimes your sun kissed hair and the smile on your face are just enough. But in case you’re a passionate Fashionista, there is nothing wrong in considering the best neutral palette of colors when choosing an outfit.

Believe it or not, this is the first and only jumpsuit I own. I know, crazy... considering they have been in fashion for absolutely ages! Fragrance | Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple Perfume Review

yves rocher, so elixir purple, yves rocher blog, yves rocher review, beauty blogger, fragrance blogger, perfume review, bblogger, bbloggers

The Yves Rocher So Elixir Purple Perfume is something I discovered probably a year or so ago when I got a small vial in a Glossybox, and it really is one of my favourite fragrances ever! It is a follow up fragrance from the original So Elixir fragrance which was first released back in 2009. So Elixir Purple, which was released in 2012 is described as "an intoxicating and magnetic fragrance to reveal your powers of seduction". Its built around the central note of Tuberose which is sweet yet fresh and fruity at the same time, whilst infused with bergamot essential oils, benzoin, vanilla, tonka beans, frankincense, patchouli. Providing a warm and soft, fruity scent. The scent is strong at first, but I really like it as it calms down a little, and it really does last nearly all day! You only need to spray a small amount, so the bottle will last you a long time.

The So Elixir Purple range also includes shower gel, body milk and deodorant. The perfume is available in 30ml(£33) and 50ml(£49) sizes. Both are reasonably priced for the market, not to mention there is nearly always a 50% offer, so you can currently get your hands on this fragrance up for a bargainous £16.50! I'm a big fan of the packaging, probably due to the fact that I love the colour purple!

uk fashion blog, uk fashion blogger, fbloggersuk, fbloggers, fashion blog, fashion blogger, style blog, bodycon dress,

How gorgeous is the print on this dress? Love it! It was very kindly gifted to me by Red Label, who are a young British brand dedicated to fashion! I really like the style, fit and even the colour of this dress. I think it could be dressed down with a pair of black tights for office/workwear or you could wear it for a night out! The dress is bodycon style, so really hugs your curves, although the material is quite thick and good quality so its tailored to fit quite nicely and hold you in too at the right places! It has a cute cutout at the top of your back too and then buttons up at the top. I teamed it up with a pair of black leather look heals for a simple and sophisticated look. By the way, I even managed to go fake tan and hair extension free in these photos, what do you think? I feel like I've been embracing my natural appearance a little more during these warmer, summer days...

I'm a nightmare when I'm let loose on eBay, I always find myself buying loads of stuff that I don't need, however I absolutely love jewellery shopping on eBay as you can pick up some real bargains, especially from overseas sellers, particularly ones based in China. I recently came across this seller who sells lots of cheap fashion jewellery including necklaces, watches, bracelets and rings at bargainous prices, and I couldn't resist a few cheeky purchases to update my summer jewellery items....

Although these items do usually take around 3-4 weeks to arrive with me here in the UK, I've not yet had a parcel go missing, so I'd definitely recommend them, you really can't go wrong! I've seen items similar to this from UK sellers which are like triple the price!

Do you ever buy jewellery from overseas sellers on eBay? Which sellers would you recommend?

Roger & Gallet Shower Cream, Body Lotion & Fragrance - Another brand new to me, I was totally intrigued by the packaging of this product, on first impressions thought it was a hair shampoo/conditioner, but I love how this little trial size is presented. This is available from Marks and Spencers and retail between £9.50 for shower cream, £13 for body lotion up to £32 for fragrance.

Most, if not all of you reading this will have known about the AMAZING freebies on offer with June's magazines, well this Ciate Mini Caviar Manicure Kit was one of them, and came with Marie Claire Mag (which was also on offer at a bargainous £2.50!!) There were two kits to choose from - I chose this blue themed kit, but there was also a red/pink colour too. The one I got came with Ciate Ferris Wheel - a beautiful pastel blue creme shade, and a bottle of Caviar Pearls in "Frost Yourself" - an array of blue, silver and white beads. These compliment each other really well and look amazing together! I really like these colours, in particular the base coat, which I've found myself wearing a few times on its own since I bought this. The kit is really easy to use, apply a couple of coats of your base paint, before sprinking the pearls onto a partially wet nail surface for them to stick on to. Overall this was a total bargain buy and I'm glad I gave in... not that I need any more nail polish to add to my already humungous collection ;)
