Since I'm away on a short break this upcoming weekend, I decided it would be a good idea to share with you the essentials that I would normally take with me in my weekend wash bag. Not to mention, it gives me the chance to show off my new Dolores Weekend Wash Bag* from My Showcase. Dolores is a weekend beauty/wash bag, and as you can see she is large enough for all your staple products for a weekend away from home! She has an embroidered canvas face - totally adorable and really eye catching design! This is protected with a wipe clean clear plastic covering, and the inside is lined in a gorgeous hot pink!
“Dolores is the current MyShowcase face! She’s fronting our line-up of fun and practical accessories, and, being a makeup addict who is particularly fond of pink lippie, she is the perfect ambassador for our brand” - Kate Shapland.
As you can see, I like to keep everything to a minimum when I go away... not! What I do do however, is make use of samples/trial sizes/miniatures which I receive in beauty boxes and magazines etc - very handy!
Pure 3 in 1 Make Up Removal Face Wipes
I have been using these wipes ever since I can remember, I love them, they are amazing make up removers, and a total bargain from Poundworld - 2 packs for £1!
Lazy night time make up removal here! I have only recently discovered my love for Micellar waters, they are great for gently removing your make up and cleansing your skin, and really quick and easy to use too. (Read my Nivea review here)
Aromatherapy Associates Rose Cleanser & Muslin Cloth
I got a little travel set from A.A in a magazine recently, and I've really taken a liking to the Rose Cleanser, which I massage into my skin before wiping away with a Muslin Cloth - which is handy as it gently exfoliates.
This is a great mood booster! If your skin is looking a little lack-lustre, you should definitely give this a go, easy to apply, has a slight tingling effect, and you just wait 5-10 minutes before removing. The mask has granules which exfoliate as you remove from the skin. (Read more in my review here)
This really is a wonder eye cream, I got my first sample of this in a Glossybox about a year or 2 ago, and have been using it ever since, it really works! Great after a long night out to soothe, refresh and hide bags and dark circles. (Read more in my review here)
I got this in a You Beauty Discovery Box, and it really is a beautiful product, I dont think I've ever tried anything quite like it, no wonder so many people love it. Its super moisturising, and really refreshes and nourishes tired skin - great to apply after a little pampering session. (Read more in my review here)
I seem to have loads of shampoo and conditioners in travel sizes lying around at the moment, I have these H2K products - I cannot even remember where they came from...maybe a Birchbox? I'm always swapping and changing my haircare products anyway - so I'll give these a go!
This has literally become a staple product in my haircare routine ever since I discovered it in Poundland a little while ago - it is a great defence spray and I have really noticed a difference from using it, I've noticed less split ends, my hair looks shinier and feels silkier too, I will do a full review soon :)
I love this body wash, it smells amazing and leaves your skin feeling gorgeously soft and smooth! Not to mention I got hold of one of the travel/trial sizes from Boots to take away with me, very handy.
This is another sample from a Birchbox, I couldn't believe that a Laura Mercier product was in a beauty box sample! This smells divine, and really does leave your skin glowing, apply after a relaxing bath or shower for lovely skin :) Review here
Nothing special, but an essential! I really like the venus razors as they usually have a moisturising/nourishing strip to help achieve the clean, smooth shave you want!
I honestly don't know how anyone can have a proper shower/bath without these! I discovered them a few years back when I first started using fake tans, they are brilliant for removing stubborn tan marks and for exfoliating your skin, in particular your elbows and knees before applying your tan! But even if you don't fake tan, they are a brilliant all over exfoliating tool, and leave your skin feeling deep cleansed!
A newly discovered product for me, this tan is literally a god send! It gives you a great, natural looking mattified tan instantly! Its really easy to apply - especially when you've got a Vita Liberta Tanning Mitt to apply with! The two combined give you a great looking tan for a night out, or just to fake a nice holiday glow!
Who doesn't like to smell nice? Well, you certainly need your favourite fragrance to hand on a weekend break! Mine is currently the GUCCI Guilty and you can read my full review here.
& There you have it, my weekend wash bag! I forgot to photograph toothpaste/toothbrush and hairbrush. But they are obviously included! I'm really looking forward to my little break now, need to get away for a bit!
What products would you take on a weekend away?
