Laser Hair Removal For Women

Laser Hair Removal

The bain of my (and probably every other female's) life... hair removal! Why, oh why haven't we evolved to be hairless, smooth & silky beauties yet!? Luckily there are various ways for us to remove our unwanted face and body hair! This can include shaving, waxing, epilating, threading, plucking and finally a method that's becoming ever more popular - laser hair removal!

This post has been written as an exclusive review of our partnership with The Laser Treatment Clinic, Harley St. London and its all about laser hair removal...

Why choose laser hair removal?
First of all, it is a safe and virtually pain-free method and suitable for most areas of the face and body. These are some of the most popular treatment areas: upper lip, bikini area, genitals, legs, breasts, underarm & chest. Laser hair removal leaves your skin feeling smooth and silky and above all, sexy and feminine! The results are long lasting, and unlike other methods, is less time consuming.

Consultation - is laser hair removal right for you?
Before treatment you will have a consultation with an expert at the clinic where you will be given detailed information of the treatment and be able to ask any questions you might have. This is also where the consultant will offer you a schedule/course of treatments recommended for your personal requirements. This will be followed by a skin test, where the treatment will be tested on a small patch of skin to discover any allergies or reactions you may have.

The laser hair removal treatment...
The first treatment will involve a detailed explanation and will make sure you are comfortable with the procedure. You will be provided with goggles to protect your eyes. A cooling gel is applied to the area of treatment to soothe and calm the skin. Using sophisticated technology, the laser light is applied to the skin and travels harmlessly through the layers until it strikes the melanin in the hair follicles. The melanin absorbs the light and its temperature rises causing the hair producing cells to be destroyed. The skin will probably be a little red and swollen afterwards, but this will reduce over the next day or so.  It is recommended you cut or shave the area where you wish to have treated for more effective results rather than waxing/plucking. The treatment does work better on darker hairs as they contain more melanin. The time taken would depend on the area that needs to be treated and you probably won't see any results immediately as it usually takes a few treatments before the hairs clear.

Results...
Most clients find that the end results are permanent! Just imagine that, no more time wasted removing unwanted hair! The Laser Treatment Clinic started using this treatment in the year 2000, have not had a single client come back to have treatment on the same area of skin...Which tells you that their treatment really does work - and works very well!

  1. Actually laser is not fully permanent way to remove hair it’s a long term hair reduction process. Bust result of laser hair removal really awesome. I did for my underarms laser year from http://www.colaz.co.uk/ . I needed 8 sessions and now no hair now. I am fully satisfied with my result.
