When it comes to face masks, there are so many different types on the market, which all claim to do different things and have different effects on your skin! I was recently sent this pack of Blackhead Killer Peel Off Face Masks* by StyleLux to try out and review.

This revolutionary face mask claims to remove pimples, blackheads, impurities and excess oils from your skin in a matter of minutes. I opened the sachet and was shocked that the sticky liquid was almost an opaque black colour! Nevertheless, knowing that it's made from all natural, herbal ingredients, I smeared it onto my face...which did get a little messy. It says it takes just 10 minutes to dry, but it took a lot longer(almost 30 mins) for mine - maybe I applied the mask too thickly? Once dry, you peel off the mask, which is when I found out that it literally removes the top layer of your skin to pull out blackheads and impurities, although this was quite uncomfortable to remove(especially where you've got more hair on your skin) it did the job! My face, although a little red and sore was really smooth and clear! I applied some Simple moisturiser to soothe my skin for the night, then when I woke up the next day I could really notice the difference in my skin, not a spot in sight and my pores looked visibly cleaner and smaller too! The mask not only offers immediate improvement for your skin, but because it removes the bacteria that causes impurities, it will prevent future breakouts too if used regularly - maybe once a week/fortnight.

So does it do what it claims? Yes, definitely! And they do say "no pain, no gain" so its worth a little eye watering to get the desired results. The face mask comes in a pack of 5 x 10ml sachets (you'd probably get 2 uses out of each sachet) for £14.95, a little on the expensive side but it gets the thumbs up(take no notice of my stupid "thumbs up" photo above, LOL) from me! 1. It is a bit pricey, but peel off face masks are so much more worth the money in my opinion. It just makes them a million times easier!
