It really has been quite a long time since I've made any effort with my nails in regards to nail art and decorations, I tend to just swipe one colour on and go! However, I recently gave in and purchased the gorgeous new Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Pastel Shades. I wanted to incorporate one of them, so I chose my favourite shade of the three, which is Sugar Apple!

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Sugar Apple is a gorgeous pastel shade of Aqua, I did think about calling it a Mint Green, but after comparing it against other shades of this kind, it didn't seem to fit this name. I've complimented this with Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lychee which is a chic nude shade, perfect for everyday wear. These polishes, along with the previous ones from the Gelly collection are brilliant quality for the money! They become completely opaque with two coats, finish with a non-streaky high gloss effect and are not prone to chipping(this particular manicure lasted for around 6 days without a single chip in sight!)

If you're interested, I picked up this brilliant little nail decorations wheel from Primark. I've noticed they've had an influx of nail products and cosmetics just lately, and I love it, because they are bang on trend and super cheap! This particular wheel cost me just £1. That's a bargain if you've ever seen one!

HOW TO:
Apply a base coat of your choice to all nails (I used ORLY Rubberised Base Coat)

Apply two coats of Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Lychee to all nails & leave to dry fully.

Use sellotape to mark out the triangular shape on your thumb nail.

Apply two coats of Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Sugar Apple inside the triangular section & left to dry.

Once this section has dried, carefully remove the sellotape.

Apply a top coat to your thumb nail and add the gold stud/decoration in place whilst still wet.

Repeat this step for your accent nail and apply the gold studs in place whilst still wet.

Finish off by applying your choice of base coat to all nails again to keep the studs in place.

& There you have it, your beautifully chic with a hint of "rock chick" manicure!

I hope you've enjoyed this post and if you'd like to see more like this, do let me know in the comments :)
