Hi everyone, just a super quick nail art post for you today, well if you can call it nail art... This is a super easy and quick nail art idea which I actually saw on another blog a while ago(sorry I can't remember who's blog!) Basically, as soon as I saw their post, I ordered a set of Sharpie Metallic Marker Pens from eBay - link and couldn't wait to give it a go myself. So I decided to go with a pastel nail shade in the form of this gorgeous Eye Candy - Peppermint Dream. I started off with a base coat of OPI Nail Envy, before adding two coats of this shade, waited until completely dry, before using the silver metallic marker to add the polkadots. I then finished with a coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. It is important that you use a top coat otherwise the marker pen design will rub off.

So there you have it, a cute and simple nail design. Great if you're short for time, or just don't have a steady hand for nail art, and an absolutely perfect colour for the spring/summer months ahead!

You don't even need to just stick to polkadots, you could add stripes, triangles or even add flowers etc using these markers! Let me know if you have any other easy-peasy nail art ideas!

  1. I got so frustrated with trying out different nail art pens that I felt weren't good enough or I had a lack of control over that when I saw somebody say they used Sharpie's I thought why not give it a try. I've only attempted some nail art once with a black Sharpie so far but I found it did work so I should really grab some more. The only frustrating thing is I don't believe you can get white one's x

    1. This is true Becky! I haven't found a white one either, but I bought the complete set too after buying the metallics, theres plenty of colours to choose from! Maybe they should introduce some pastel shades too :) x
