Let me introduce you to my latest combination of haircare products. This shampoo and conditioner were sent to me by the Italian originating brand Naturalmente, who's products have recently been introduced in the UK! The Naturalmente range is eco-friendly and made using natural, plant-based products. They are also free from parabens, SLS, ammonia and other kinds of potentially harmful substances. As I mentioned in my last hair-care post, I've been trying to take much better care of my hair just lately, so these products couldn't have arrived at a better time!
I had never come across this brand before, until I was offered the products for review, so I wasn't too sure what to expect... especially when they arrived in these understated little bottles. Obviously the packaging is representative of the brands ethics, in which they are made from environmentally friendly and renewable materials and I actually quite like the simple appearance!
First off, the Naturalmente Rosemary & Lavender Shampoo*, which is a purifying shampoo which invigorates and cleanses the hair and scalp to remove excess oils and build-up. It contains; Rosemary: to stimulate circulation, balance an oily scalp and detox, Lavender: to purify the scalp, heal and prevent hair loss, Eucalyptus: to help heals the scalp, provide anti-bacterial and anti-dandruff properties, Sandalwood: to purify and regulate the secretion of sebum. This shampoo is suitable for medium to thick hair and oily and dandruff affected scalp. The clear gel-like formula didn't lather up as much as other shampoos, but the clean feeling after using was beautiful and it rinsed out so easily. My hair really did feel deep-cleansed and it removed any gunk that had been hiding in my roots and scalp! Not to mention it left a lovely fresh, herbal scent to my hair, which still lingered even after conditioning and blow drying.
The Naturalmente Anti-Oxidant Conditioner* is specially formulated for coloured and highlighted hair to soften and seal. It contains; Carrot: which gives shine and helps the product to penetrate the hair, Marigold: which conditions and offers anti-aging properties, and Nettle: which moisturises, balances and produces a shine effect. It also contains essential olive and palm oil to anti-oxidise and release vitamins. I applied this confitioner and left on my hair for 5 minutes before rinsing, and my hair did feel wonderfully soft and smooth, I also noticed my hair was less frizzy than usual once dried.
Overall, I was really impressed with the instant effects that I've noticed by using this range, and I look forward to seeing the long term effects on my hair! The 250ml bottles are priced at £9 each, which is a little pricey for my personal budget, but totally reasonable considering these are salon quality products.
Have you tried Naturalmente or any other natural hair-care products, and do you notice a difference from using other high street brands?
