I hate to say it but that time of year is edging ever closer, the nights are getting darker earlier, we swap our dolly shoes for Ugg boots and put the fire on and snuggle up with a hot choc! Most of us are starting to think about what "winter coat" to buy. I've been browsing various websites and looking in the shops over the past couple of weeks as the new clothes begin to hit the shops for the most on trend coats for this year. It seems to me that the top coats for this year are similar to previous years...
While we are still in the warmer months of Autumn, this season is all about leather jackets! They are perfect just to give you that extra warmth but not weigh you down. I've certainly been wearing my biker style black leather jacket (which my boyfriend kindly bought for me last Christmas) a lot over the past couple of weeks. Leather jackets are so versatile because they can be worn with many styles of outfit, whether that be for a glammed up night out on the town or a casual shopping trip with the girls.
As we enter the colder months, you'll be looking for something much thicker but easy to wear and style? I've decided to buy a Parka coat this year, although pretty much everyone I know already owns one. I especially like the Khaki Green ones, which I've shown in the photo above. There are many versions available on the high street and online, which have been re-invented from previous years... This includes the addition of statement pieces such as leather panels, glitter/sequin sleeves and eye-catching fur detailing. What attracts me to this style of coat most is the fact that it's easy to just throw on with pretty much any outfit but also so comfortable and snug!
You can find a wide selection of Winter Women's Parkas and Leather jackets at Mary Jane Fashion along with two more of the top trends for Autumn/Winter 2013 - faux fur jackets and military/khaki jackets. I've also noticed that Tartan appears to be making a comeback this year too!
