Review Tmart 88 Shade Matte & Pearlescent Eyeshadow Palette

I was recently sent this Tmart Eyeshadow Palette to try out and review. I've not heard of Tmart.com before and I didn't really know what to expect, so I read a couple of the online reviews and a lot of them said the shadows lacked in pigmentation, so I wasn't getting my hopes up! When the palette arrived I was pleasantly surprised, so here's my review...

Shades - The palette that I am reviewing is the 88 shade matte & pearlescent palette. As the name suggests there are 88 colours in total, and there are a variety of both matte and pearlescent finishes. I did find that there were quite a lot more pearly shades compared to the matte's. What I like most about this palette is the fact that its so versatile! You get a good selection of neutral and bold shades, which allows you to create so many looks! (Unfortunately there are about 4 pans filled with the same intense blue shade, I instantly noticed this when I opened the palette?)

Pigmentation - As with a lot of cheaper eye shadow palettes, the pigmentation varies from shade to shade. The lighter matte colours are typically not very pigmented and need a bit of warming up before application. The deeper/bolder shades are much more pigmented but do need a fair bit of layering to build up a good effect.

Application - The palette comes complete with 2 x double ended sponge applicators which are quite handy, I do prefer brushes... but, each to their own! I always use an eye shadow primer/base before applying shadows which ultimately helps them apply smoothly and last longer. I will mention there was a lot of fall out when applying the shadows, but once applied they were easy enough to blend to create the desired look.

Wear time - I wore some of the neutral shades for work with my usual MUA eye primer. The shadows did fade slightly, but were still in place by the time I got home over 8 hours later. So in my opinion they have a pretty good wear time.

Packaging - The packaging isn't anything to write home about however its sufficient for the product and price. A simple yet sleek, matte black flip open palette. There is quite a large mirror on the inside of the palette which is quite handy and perfect for travelling.(My palette was slightly damaged when it arrived... on the bottom left corner of the lid, which you can just about see in the photo's, nothing drastic though!)

Delivery - Delivery is FREE! & this palette is dispatched from a UK based warehouse within 24 hours, so delivery is pretty quick. I received my palette in under a week!(About the same rate as a standard 2nd class delivery)

Overall I think this is a brilliant palette for experimenting and trying out new make up looks. There is every shade you could possibly wish for. The quality of the shadows isn't too bad either for the price. I think this palette would make a pretty good (dare I say it...) Christmas present for those younger girls in your life, be it your younger sister/niece?

The palette is priced at £11.07 & includes FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING! - LINK

PAPA EAST | Affordable Fashion Jewellery

When it comes to jewellery, I've never been one to splash out on expensive items, mainly because I'm afraid of losing them! So I tend to just buy affordable fashion jewellery instead. I'm always browsing through various online websites to find the latest items to add those finishing touches to my outfits, and I've recently been introduced to a new place to shop...

"Papa East are a global jewellery website that stock the latest trends from around the world. Whether you want to shop, check out the latest trends or just get inspiration, this website is for you!"

I really like the two rings which were sent to me, however I wasn't too keen on the necklace, but I'm sure this will make good use as a gift to someone :)

Papa East offer a variety of pieces including rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings, and also really cute phone cases and stationary

The prices are affordable and they offer worldwide shipping, so I'd recommend having a browse, you never know what might catch your eye...

Many of you may not be aware of the 2True brand because it is a relatively small UK based company, which have released their products into Superdrug. I already have various products from this brand, but I personally love their nail polishes, they are such good quality and such a great price.

2True have recently released 5 new polishes which make up their "Pearl Collection". I was very kindly sent 3 of the five shades to review and share with you all...

This is honestly, my absolute new favourite nail polish, I love how simple yet so sophisticated this shade is. It would match beautifully with any outfit. I used two reasonably thick coats to achieve the swatch shown above, however you could just use one thin coat of it to give your natural nails a slight shimmery effect.

Oyster pink is a very wearable shade. Although its a coloured polish rather than a nude, the pink is very muted so still gives a natural looking finish. Again, I have used two coats of polish for the above swatch.

This baby blue would be the perfect "holiday" and summer shade because not only is the colour gorgeous, but the pearl/shimmer effect gives it an oceanic look. This polish shade would really compliment a tanned complexion. Two coats were used on the above swatch.

You do need to give the bottles a good shake before use, both the formula and the application brush are quite thin, however it applies well without patches/streaks. As I've mentioned 1 coat would give you a natural looking shimmer, and 2-3 coats would give you a fully opaque finish to really bring the pearl effect to life.

These polishes retail at £1.99 each or 3 for £5, and are available in store and online at Superdrug
