Let's Talk Hair Extensions...

Hi lovelies!
I hope you've all had a lovely start to the week? :)

Today I'd like to talk about hair, specifically about hair styles and hair extensions, and how they can alter your style quickly and simply but make a huge difference to your appearance!

Lately, with it being so hot in the UK I'm not so fussed about my hair, I'd rather just tie it up in a messy bun out the way, and just wear a pretty summery dress to make me look half decent instead. However I've always been one for messing around with my hair, dying it all sorts of colours, chopping bits off to create new styles, using hair pieces and hair extensions to give me an instantly new appearance.

For the past 3 years or so, I have been wearing hair extensions because I was unhappy with my hair length after having it cut into a very short bob. I've used all kinds of extensions in the past including synthetic clip-in's(which may I add were absolutely useless when it came to styling).

In the end I opted for Remy Clip In Hair Extensions, you can buy different types including Tape In Remy Hair Extensions - click here and Clip In Remy Hair Extensions. I use clip-ins as I find they are most practical, as I can just clip them in when I want to wear them and then take them out afterwards. I love these hair extensions because they are 100% real human hair. You can pretty much treat them how you would your own hair. For example: you can colour, dye, highlight and bleach them; they can be styled using hairdryers, straighteners, and curling iron; you can also wash them as you would your natural hair. They have a life of between six and twelve months, which is obviously dependent on the amount of time you wear them for, and how they are looked after.

While I was browsing the internet for a place to buy a new set of hair extensions I came across Seek Hair, they offer all kinds of hair extensions at competitive prices. They also help you choose the right colour match for your hair, and also how to choose the right length for you, along with offering helpful care and application information.

You will find that hair extensions are not only used to make your hair longer, but to give you a better chance of creating certain hairstyles/looks. For example this hairstyle I tried a while back, the 1960's Inspired Beehive Hairstyle, where I used my extensions to give my hair a little more volume as well as length.

  1. I've always been curious about extensions for the fun of them! I think it'd be fun to randomly slap on some mermaid hair, haha! You kind of remind of Kaya Scodelario in these pictures!!

  2. I'm considering cutting my hair short and as there's always hair extensions as backup, but I never know what type I'd get. Do you find they're hard to maintain as you have to wash them separately?
