Choosing The Right Sunglasses This Summer...

With the gorgeous weather we've been having just lately, I've noticed my day to day clothes change quite rapidly, along with my make-up routine, hair styles and accessories. One of the things which has changed is the need for sunglasses. I for one, spend ages trying to find a decent pair of sunglasses which actually suit me, so I've done a bit of research to find out what sunglasses suit you best...

If you have a "Heart" or "Diamond" shaped face, Aviator style sunglasses will compliment wide cheek bones and a narrow chin.

Pretty much any style/shape will work if you have an "Oval" shaped face. So go ahead and try out some of the latest styles this summer including these Wrap around/Shield style sunglasses.

You should balance out the sharpness of a "Square" shaped face, by wearing soft, curvy styles such as Circular/Round or Cat Eye sunglasses.

If you have a "Round" face shape you probably want to make your face appear longer and thinner. To do this you should look for frames which are slightly wider than the broadest part of your face. To add definition and reduce curviness, you should look for Rectangle/Angular style sunglasses.

Other things to bear in mind when choosing those PERFECT sunglasses...

Pale complexions - You should try lightweight frames and those with a touch of warm colour such as pink/orange. If you're looking for something a little different, definitely try light Tortoiseshell frames

Dark complexions - Mediterranean, Golden, Asian and Olive skin tones and dark hair should go for gold frames and silver frames sunglasses to enhance their natural skin tones.

Dark/Black complexions - Pretty much any metallic frame sunglasses will suit black skin tones, and amber/orange shades also work really well.

Short hair - Bold colours and designs, decorative style sunglasses and geometric frames look best.

Long hair - I know from experience that something that suits me when I've got my hair down, looks totally different when my hair is up. So you should try frames on wearing both styles and see what suits you best.

Soft & Wavy Hair - You should enhance delicate shapes by rimless sunglasses, and translucent, soft shades.

Curly hair - Classic style, smaller framed sunglasses are best suited to people with really curly hair.
