Let's Talk Hair Extensions...

Hi lovelies!
I hope you've all had a lovely start to the week? :)

Today I'd like to talk about hair, specifically about hair styles and hair extensions, and how they can alter your style quickly and simply but make a huge difference to your appearance!

Lately, with it being so hot in the UK I'm not so fussed about my hair, I'd rather just tie it up in a messy bun out the way, and just wear a pretty summery dress to make me look half decent instead. However I've always been one for messing around with my hair, dying it all sorts of colours, chopping bits off to create new styles, using hair pieces and hair extensions to give me an instantly new appearance.

For the past 3 years or so, I have been wearing hair extensions because I was unhappy with my hair length after having it cut into a very short bob. I've used all kinds of extensions in the past including synthetic clip-in's(which may I add were absolutely useless when it came to styling).

In the end I opted for Remy Clip In Hair Extensions, you can buy different types including Tape In Remy Hair Extensions - click here and Clip In Remy Hair Extensions. I use clip-ins as I find they are most practical, as I can just clip them in when I want to wear them and then take them out afterwards. I love these hair extensions because they are 100% real human hair. You can pretty much treat them how you would your own hair. For example: you can colour, dye, highlight and bleach them; they can be styled using hairdryers, straighteners, and curling iron; you can also wash them as you would your natural hair. They have a life of between six and twelve months, which is obviously dependent on the amount of time you wear them for, and how they are looked after.

While I was browsing the internet for a place to buy a new set of hair extensions I came across Seek Hair, they offer all kinds of hair extensions at competitive prices. They also help you choose the right colour match for your hair, and also how to choose the right length for you, along with offering helpful care and application information.

You will find that hair extensions are not only used to make your hair longer, but to give you a better chance of creating certain hairstyles/looks. For example this hairstyle I tried a while back, the 1960's Inspired Beehive Hairstyle, where I used my extensions to give my hair a little more volume as well as length.

Weekend Wishlist| #10 Summer Inspiration Day & Night Wear

Another wishlist post this weekend. Hope you've all had a fantastic week. Enjoying this sunshine, maybe even been on holiday?

Well, I wanted to keep up the summer theme this week and do a couple of outfit posts, one for day time wear, and one for night time wear during the warmer months...

First off, here is my "summer days" outfit, I've gone for something which is totally perfect for a shopping day with the girls, casual but also super pretty too!

Jeans // Blouse // Sunglasses // Bag // Shoes

Secondly, my "summer nights" outfit. For the night, of course you still want to feel comfortable, but you also want to add that extra special feel. I think this outfit would pull together beautifully...

Skincare Review| Institute Esthederm UV inCellium Spray

Over the past month or so I've been testing out the Institut Esthederm UV in Cellium Spray*, and let me tell you something... I absolutely love this product, I will genuinely be upset when it runs out.

A little bit of scientific info for you... "The UV in Cellium spray claims to boost your skin's natural defences, protecting it from the environment and prevent photo-ageing. The formula includes patented technology based on biological call protection, against the harmful effects of UV rays. The water is a replica of the one found in the human body, and optimises the cell's vital functions."

The spray is designed for use on the face at any time of the day, but especially when outdoors for its protective purposes. You can use before, and after make up/skincare application. I use a quick burst after cleansing to provide a little moisture, and then again after make up application. I was a little sceptical at first but the spray does actually help to fix my make up and keep it in place all day, not to mention giving my skin a more healthy radiant glow throughout. It's really nice to use on a hot day to give your skin a quick cool down and refresh.

Not only do I use it on my face but I've been using it on my neck/chest and arms before going outdoors, as these are the areas of my skin which are on show the most. I really like how its so quick and easy to use and sinks into the skin so quickly, without the need to rub in.

The only downside of this product is the price, its a little expensive at around £31 a can(100ml), but if this is something you can afford, I would totally recommend it! Overall, this is a great innovative idea for a product, super quick and simple to use, and over the month or so I've tried it, I've noticed my skin's condition, feel and appearance improve greatly.

Have you tried anything similar or cheaper? Let me know :)

Choosing The Right Sunglasses This Summer...

With the gorgeous weather we've been having just lately, I've noticed my day to day clothes change quite rapidly, along with my make-up routine, hair styles and accessories. One of the things which has changed is the need for sunglasses. I for one, spend ages trying to find a decent pair of sunglasses which actually suit me, so I've done a bit of research to find out what sunglasses suit you best...

If you have a "Heart" or "Diamond" shaped face, Aviator style sunglasses will compliment wide cheek bones and a narrow chin.

Pretty much any style/shape will work if you have an "Oval" shaped face. So go ahead and try out some of the latest styles this summer including these Wrap around/Shield style sunglasses.

You should balance out the sharpness of a "Square" shaped face, by wearing soft, curvy styles such as Circular/Round or Cat Eye sunglasses.

If you have a "Round" face shape you probably want to make your face appear longer and thinner. To do this you should look for frames which are slightly wider than the broadest part of your face. To add definition and reduce curviness, you should look for Rectangle/Angular style sunglasses.

Other things to bear in mind when choosing those PERFECT sunglasses...

Pale complexions - You should try lightweight frames and those with a touch of warm colour such as pink/orange. If you're looking for something a little different, definitely try light Tortoiseshell frames

Dark complexions - Mediterranean, Golden, Asian and Olive skin tones and dark hair should go for gold frames and silver frames sunglasses to enhance their natural skin tones.

Dark/Black complexions - Pretty much any metallic frame sunglasses will suit black skin tones, and amber/orange shades also work really well.

Short hair - Bold colours and designs, decorative style sunglasses and geometric frames look best.

Long hair - I know from experience that something that suits me when I've got my hair down, looks totally different when my hair is up. So you should try frames on wearing both styles and see what suits you best.

Soft & Wavy Hair - You should enhance delicate shapes by rimless sunglasses, and translucent, soft shades.

Curly hair - Classic style, smaller framed sunglasses are best suited to people with really curly hair.

Red Hot Sunglasses are an online retailer offering Designer Sunglasses for Men and Women, they offer some of the most popular brands, styles and ranges and are 100% authentic. They also offer FREE WORLDWIDE DELIVERY. You're sure to find the perfect pair for you! :)

I hope this has helped some of you to choose the right glasses for you this summer.

Weekend Wishlist| #9 If I Was A Rich Girl...

Hello everyone!
Hope you're all well? I dunno about you, but I am totally loving this beautiful warm sunny weather which has finally arrived in the UK! I hope you've all had a lovely weekend, and I'd love to hear what you've been up to :)

This weather has certainly made me change my outlook on clothes buying at the moment, I'm loving anything light, bright and pastel coloured right now. I've decided to put together a little wishlist, as it's been quite a while since I last did one. I've done a couple of themes in this one. Basically, all the items are from Cruise Fashion. They are all quite summery/pretty pieces. & Finally, they are also higher end brands "If I was a rich girl na na na na na na na"

What are your favourite pieces?
