(This photo was taken a whole day after using the products, all I did was brush my hair through and it was still this smooth and shiny)
I've been using John Frieda hair care for quite a while now, ever since I was introduced to their Full Repair range last year. I can't fault them, and it's done wonders for my hair in terms of repair and growth. I wouldn't dream of changing my haircare, however sometimes I just feel like it needs that little extra something as it can get a little dull and lifeless.
Well... I was kindly sent a few more products to try out, and they've really hit the nail on the head (so to speak). I was sent the shampoo & conditioner from the Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine range, and also a Frizz Ease Secret Agent Perfecting Creme. After just one use I noticed that my hair looked shinier, and had more life to it.
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Illuminating Shampoo*, £5.89 for 250ml
Drenches your hair with pure shine whilst cleansing for a high-gloss finish. Formulated with an exclusive Crystalline complex, the shampoo penetrates damaged areas within the hair while it polishes the exterior of each strand to optimise the reflection of light and create a crystal clear shine. This shampoo is suitable for all shades of natural, colour treated and highlighted brunettes and is intended for daily use. The formula is very thin liquid based and easy to work with, a little goes a lonnnnggg way as it lathers up REALLY well and is so easy to work with, it smooths and untangles even my thick hair! The scent is amazing, just like after you've been to the hairdressers.
John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Illuminating Conditioner*, £5.89 for 250ml
Lightly coats each hair strand to provide non-stop brunette shine. Formulated with an exclusive Crystalline complex, the conditioner penetrates damaged areas within the hair while it polishes the exterior of each strand to optimise the reflection of light and creates a crystal clear shine. This conditioner is suitable for all shades of natural, colour treated and highlighted brunettes and is intended for daily use. The consistency is thicker than the shampoo, which is to be expected for deep conditioning, but not so much that it makes it hard to use. It glides through my hair with ease, and leaves it feeling smooth and silky with a natural healthy looking shine.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Secret Agent Perfecting Creme*, £5.49 for 100ml
Applied to dry hair, it instantly transforms puffy, parched hair into a perfectly smooth, shiny texture. It replaces natural hair oils which can be lost during blow-drying and styling. It works to camouflage imperfections by smoothing away dullness and split ends to create an ultra-glossy, healthy looking finish. It also contains a UV filter to protect against heat/sun damage. The consistency is thin and non-sticky, which makes it easier to glide through the hair preventing product build-up. I used this after blow-drying my hair to tame down some of the frizz before using my GHD straighteners to curl my hair as shown in the photos above. Its perfect for straight and curly hair styles!
I will be alternating between my Full Repair and these new products as I like them both equally as much! Next on my list to try is the John Frieda Luxurious Volume range which I've seen advertised. I really like the look of this new and improved range.
