Nail Art| Cath Kidston/Vintage Inspired Floral & Polkadots ♥

It feels like it's been so long since I last did any nail art, or anything with my nails?!

Some of my older followers will know just how much I love everything nails! I think (without sounding too much of a weirdo) I have almost 400 nail varnishes now, crazy I know. I just wish I had the time to use them all :(

My natural nails are in really bad condition lately too, they look terrible, but I recently used the Rio Pop Acrylics Nail Extenions (Review here). So now they are much stronger, smoother, longer and easier to work with.

What better way to make the most of them than to do a pretty nail design? (similar to this one I found on Victoria's Vintage blog) so here we are...

As you can see, Barry M is one of my favourite brands for nail varnish. I used White, Shocking Pink, Blue Moon, Strawberry Ice Cream, Mint Green, before finishing off with a nice thick coat of Seche Vite!

I really like how they turned out! What do you think?

Review| Rio Pop Acrylics - Acrylic Nails At Home!

Today I've got a review on the Rio Pop Acrylic Nails kit. With this kit you can quickly achieve perfect looking Acrylic nails at home.
Rio Pop Acrylic Nails- £49.99*- Link

"Pop Acrylic Nail Extensions make professional nail extensions even quicker and easier to achieve at home. The traditional method of applying acrylic nails can be difficult to master, but the Pop Acrylic Nail Extensions method means achieving stronger, great looking nails much more easy!"

Who Can Use This Kit?

This kit can be used by anybody. (Note that it's recommended for Age 14 & Over) I'd say this kit would be ideal for people who struggle to grow their own natural nails, or if you have weak/brittle nails. As it will provide you with strong, durable, natural looking nails in no time at all!

Even if you've never tried Acrylic for nails before it's a very easy kit and comes with an instruction booklet and step by step DVD which are both really helpful and easy to follow. After a bit of practice this kit should take as little as 30 minutes to use!

What's Included?

Everything you need!
Glass mixing dish | Acrylic sculpting brush | 100 x French tips | Nail primer | White sanding block | 4ml finishing wipe | Acrylic liquid | Nail slicer | Orange stick | Acrylic powder | Nail forms - 10 sizes in a case | Fine line pen | Cuticle oil | Lint free wipes | Buffing file | 2-in-1 varnish | Nail glue | Cuticle pusher

How To Use

Before starting using the kit, I do highly advise you to read through the instruction book at least once, and watch the DVD through, this will give you an idea of the process. Allow at least a few hours to give yourself plenty of time! Make sure you have plenty of space to work in and to lay things out around you.

♥ Lay out everything around you so everythings at easy access
♥ Prepare the forms to match your nail sizes, mark left & right hand 1-5.
♥ Prep your nails (wash, push back cuticles, buff, file and shape).
♥ Select correct sized tips for the nails, keep in order ready to apply to nails.
♥ Glue the tip to your nails, then cut down to desired length and file
♥ Position the form on the nail, and mark an end line.
♥ Prime the natural nail area.
♥ Pour acrylic liquid into the dappen dish.
♥ Dip the brush into the liquid and then into the powder to create a bead.
♥ Fill in the area which you marked on the forms then hold firm onto the nail for 60 secs.
♥ Leave the form on the nail while finishing the rest of the hand.
♥ Once you've finished one hand, pinch the side of each form and wiggle off the nail.
♥ Neaten the nail by filing, then gently massage in some cuticle oil.
♥ Wash hands thoroughly and then finish by applying 2 in 1 nail varnish.

Price & Availabilty
You can purchase this kit from Rio Beauty online - Link.
The price for this kit is £49.99, but definitely worth it considering you'd get at least 3-4 uses out of the kit before re-filling on the white tips. Bearing in mind you'd pay anywhere between £20-£30 a time at a salon for similar treatments.

Overall a really quick and easy to use kit, professional looking results, and well worth the money!

My Newly Re-decorated Bedroom ♥

Over the Christmas holidays I had a bit of time off work, I hate sitting around with nothing to do, so I thought it was about time I redecorated my bedroom. I always enjoy looking at pretty interior designs and I especially love the look of Victoria's from Victorias Vintage bedroom. It's so chic and pretty and I always like reading her blog posts about new items she's added :)

Unfortunately I didn't take any photo's of what my room looked like before. But all the walls were white except for the window wall where it was covered in a black floral wallpaper. The walls were empty and my bedclothes didn't match at all to the rest of my room as they were purple lol. So yeah, it was looking abit run down to say the least.

I didn't change much to be honest, I just took the black wallpaper down and gave it a fresh lick of white paint, I put up a few shelves, bought new bedclothes, and some pretty decorative items. Oh, and almost forgot to mention my 2 new Helmer units from Ikea, which I posted on Instagram...Honestly, they are perfect to store all my make up and nail varnishes! :)

I actually share a room with my sister, but we have a big curtain down the middle of the room to split it into two, so its like having two separate rooms... but it means they are pretty small, and don't leave much room to play with to be honest so its not fantastic. Also, the floorboards do need repainting so please ignore the state of them, but here are a few pics of the finished look...

Bedclothes £5(Sale) Primark/ Cream Throw £2.50 Primark
My amazing shelf putter upper skills haha - New home for all my Me To You bears and my owls ♥
Canvas prints £2 for all 3 (Sale) Primark
Jewellery Hanger £1 Poundland.
Owl Hanging Decoration, £2.80 - eBay - Link
I actually upcycled this little chest from a Car Boot Sale for just 20p! This is how it looked before:
Brush Storage Pots £2.25 each Ikea(Skurar Candle Holder) - Link
Cute Calendar With Notes Board £1 Poundland.
Wardrobe door decoration.
My dresser, TV and what's left of my Glossybox Drawer DIY!
Not too sure what I'm going to hang on this yet, but its so pretty I hung it up anyway :)
Helmer storage units £25 each Ikea - Link

I'm still not entirely happy with how it looks but when you're restricted with space and money what can you do? I will hopefully keep adding to it as I go along and will update as I do :)

What do you think? Have any of you done any bedroom posts, leave me the link below I'd love to have a look!

My 21st Birthday - What I Did & My Presents ♥

Hello everyone,

First of all, I'd like to apologise for my absence lately. I really appreciate that you've stuck around and still supporting me :) I have had a really rough time over Christmas and the new year for a few reasons including being really unwell, and my 3 year relationship break up. So I haven't felt up to to blogging on top of everything else. I won't go into it too much as I don't want to bore you. But I am feeling better now and things are looking up again, so I'll be posting regularly again soon enough.

Let's move on to the happier part of this post shall we? It's been just over a week since I turned 21! Which was last Sunday. I wanted to share with you what I did with my weekend and some of the lovely presents I received.

Me and one of my best friends Adam up the pub on the night before my birthday.

I really didn't feel up to organising anything, so I just went to our local pub with a few friends on my Birthday Eve (if such a name even exists). It was a good laugh and I had a nice relaxed evening.

On my actual birthday I hadn't planned anything and was just going to stop at home with my family. However my ex-boyfriend decided he wanted to take me out to make up for everything that had happened. I had no idea where we were going until we got there. He took me to Chester Zoo for the day, it was a pretty long drive about 1hr 45mins, but as I wasn't driving I didn't mind :P

When I found out where we were going I wished I'd taken my new camera to get some better shots, but my iPhone didn't do too badly.

How adorable is the baby elephant?
I really want one of these! - I believe it's an Axalot, thank you to Terri for informing me of the name.
 Giant Tortoise - N'awww...

All in all, it was a nice day... but a little cold and all the animals were hiding away, so it would have been nicer in the summer. I would like to go back there maybe for a full weekend and go to some of the other places nearby such as Chester Town and Markets, Cheshire Oaks and the Blue Planet Aquarium, soon!

My moms wonderful wrapping skills!
My Giant Cupcake Birthday Cake, complete with all 21 candles haha.
My Birthday treat to myself.
New watch from my Mom and Dad
I see my Mom read my Christmas Wishlist post lol.
Tresor Paris Earrings from my boyfriends parents.
Love this Owl bag from one of my Mom's friends, I think everyone knows I love Owls now.
From my brother and his girlfriend :)
Some really thoughtful and lovely presents from my boyfriend

Looking back now I really wish I'd done something more special and memorable. I had a lovely weekend in the end. I had some good laughs and enjoyed the time I spent with all my friends, family and my boyfriend.

Sorry if I've rambled on a bit, and also apologise for the poor photo quality.

Have any of you celebrated any milestone Birthday's recently? & What did you do?
