You may have noticed how much I've been loving the Liz Earle skin care products lately, and here's yet another fab product that I'd like to share with you. I always see products claiming they have a fast action formula and are a quick-fix to your skin problems. More often than not, I end up being disappointed when they don't live up to such claims. However this treatment mask literally does what it says on the tin (or bottle in this case, haha).

This is applied very much like the Cleanse & Polish, where you massage one or two pumps of the product into your face and neck. I was amazed at how quickly the product sank into my skin. I then felt a slight tingling on my skin, which is usually a good sign and you know a product is working. This is probably what helps the skin to feel revitalised. You can leave the mask on between 30 seconds and 2 minutes before using the Muslin cloth to wipe away.

It's formula is thick and has a clay like texture. It has a herbal smell to it, which from experience I've found most of the Liz Earle products to have strong scents, so its nothing new. This one is actually quite fresh and invigorating. The mask is packed full of natural ingredients such as Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel, Sweet Almond Oil and White Clay which help to soothe, tone, moisturise, firm and stimulate the skin.

Even after just one use I noticed my skin looked instantly brighter, I have been using this every other day along with my cleanse and polish. I've noticed that my skin is looking much more healthy and radiant nowadays, which is especially important during these dull winter months. Perfect for those early Monday mornings when you're half asleep and could do with a bit of a wake up call after a fun packed weekend!!

You can even just buy a travel sized 15ml tube with muslin cloth to try out.

What's your quick fix morning wake up treatment?

Instagram Diary #2

Hello Girls!
Happy Monday!...Not. Ooooh how I'm wishing I didn't have to go to work soon.
Hope you all enjoyed the weekend anyway, did you get up to much?

I don't know about you, but I think the weather lately here in the UK absolutely sucks! It's a little depressing this time of year, I go to work in the dark, and then I go home in the dark, and then it rains all weekend so you can't do anything, other than shopping of course ;)

You may remember me saying that I would try to incorporate more life related posts into my blog, but as of yet, that hasn't happened... Mainly due to the fact that in all honesty, my life really isn't very interesting so there's not much to write about haha. I've still been using Instagram so that will have to do for now, sorry guys. Here's a quick round up of the pics I've taken over the past couple of months....

Liz Earle| Skin Repair Moisturiser Light - Combination/Oily

Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser Light - Comination/Oily - £18.75 - Link *

"Light and gentle, this easily absorbed moisturising lotion is ideal for combination, oily or problem skin"

You may have seen my review on the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser For Normal/Combination Skin. I really liked the moisturiser, but I found it a little too thick for my skin type. The wonderful girls at Liz Earle picked up on this in my review and sent this lighter version for me to try out. I have now managed to start using this as part of my every day skin-care because its much better suited for my skin.

As always from Liz Earle, the products are beautifully packaged, and this moisturiser comes in the typically coloured duck egg blue container. Unlike the previous moisturiser, this one comes in a pump bottle, which I prefer because its more hygienic and dispenses just the right amount of product needed.

This moisturiser is light and gentle, not as thick as the original moisturiser, which means it doesn't clog up my pores or increase oiliness. It's soft and silky formula absorbs quickly and easily into the skin. It has a lovely refreshing scent to it which instantly gives your skin a boost and leaves it feeling smooth with a healthy glow.

The moisturiser is packed full of naturally skin-conditioning ingredients including Borage Oil, Avocado Oil and Vitamin E. These all help to replace moisture lost from the skin and also protect the skin afterwards.

Overall I really like this moisturiser, although Id definitely consider it a higher end product due to the price tag. However it would be a great treat for yourself or as a gift to someone.

You can purchase from the Liz Earle website at £18.75 for the 50ml pump bottle - Link

New CID Cosmetics - i Polish; Raspberry Brulee, Bread & Butter Pudding, Summer Fruit Pudding

I was really excited when a parcel containing some New CID Cosmetics arrived on my doorstep a couple of weeks back. This is a brand I'm not very familiar with to be honest, but I've quickly grown to love. I think you all know by now how much I love my nail varnishes so these were the products I was dying to try out first! Today I've got some reviews and swatches on three of the shades from their i-Polish Light Up Nail Varnish Range.

The packaging is very basic but I love the sleek contemporary feel they have. The bottles are quite slimline and I like how the chrome lid has been styled to incorporate a bright LED light, which makes it much easier to see exactly where you're applying the polish to give you a neater finish. Each bottle is transparent so you can easily see the colour inside, there is a sticker on the bottom of the bottle with the names of each shade and stating the ingredients.

The applicator brushes are medium sized, and although I do prefer large flat brushes, these do make for quite easy application, and give an even coverage to the nails. Each shade is very sweetly named after all sorts of yummy desserts. As an added bonus, these polishes are free from three of the nasty ingredients usually found in more traditional nail varnishes; Formaldehyde, Toluene and Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP).

i-Polish Raspberry Brulee*
I think this has to be my favourite of the three shades I was sent. Raspberry Brulee is a pretty creamy looking medium pink shade. I managed to achieve a completely opaque finish with 2 coats.  This shade in particular seemed to dry with quite a glossy finish, so no need to add a top coat.

 i-Polish Bread & Butter Pudding*
I've been wearing this shade a lot since getting my hands on it, it's the perfect nude shade for the A/W months. Its a neutral brown/beige colour which would be ideal for work etc. Once again, this became opaque within 2 coats and dries with a fairly glossy finish to it.

i-Polish Summer Fruit Pudding*
(I must firstly apologise for the fact that the photo above with nail swatch does not truly represent the actual colour. You should look at the first picture of the bottle for a more accurate shade match. This always seems to happen when I'm swatching red polishes, any ideas?) But anyway, Summer Fruit Pudding is a deep ruby red shade with an iridescent glitter effect to it, which when teamed up with a good top coat provides an amazingly high shine finish. Perfect for the upcoming party season. This applied almost opaque with as little as one coat, but as habit, I always apply two anyway.

You can purchase from the New CID cosmetics website at £10 for 11ml.
There are a few other shades I've been eyeing up that I'd love to get my hands on!

Our Weekend Break ♥ - Wrekin Premier Lodge Beaconsfield Park, Shrewsbury Review

Hi everyone!
Hope you've had a good week! As promised, I'm going to share with you a bit about last weekend, where I planned a surprise romantic weekend for me and my boyfriend to celebrate his 21st birthday.

*This Post Is Photo & Description Heavy, Do Feel Free To Just Have A Nosey At The Pictures As I Do Ramble On A Bit*

We went to Beaconsfield Farm Park located in Shrewsbury. It was an hours drive, but it was lovely through the country lanes, barely any traffic too which was a nice change from the usual rush hours to and from work! The park was very secluded and was surrounded by countryside. Once we arrived, we checked into reception... the staff were polite and welcoming, we were informed of the amenities at the park and shown the way to our lodge and quickly shown how to use the hot tub.

I booked us the best lodge at the park, as it was a special occasion, this was the Wrekin Premier Lodge. I was actually really surprised at how big it was, like house-sized and it was multi-storey too. The appearance of it was very fitting to the countryside setting but with a modern looking twist to it. My little car even had its own garage space for the weekend!

When we got inside the lodge, I was pretty amazed by how beautiful, spacious and spotless it was! You could really tell why its given its 5 star rating. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and some pretty roses. The kitchen modernly fitted and kitted out with all the appliances you could possibly need, I must admit I had to learn how to use the electric oven & dishwasher haha. The living room had a widescreen TV with Freeview and DVD player, it had large patio doors leading out onto the decking with the hot tub. Upstairs there was a very open and light hallway with two outdoor balconys(This would be lovely in the summer, but was a little too cold for us at the moment).

There were two large bedrooms, each with their own en-suite shower rooms. We obviously chose to sleep in the bigger room which also had its own bath tub in the room, I've never seen a bath so big in my life. Everything was well presented, even a cute Teddy on the bed, which you could take home as a souvenir. You are provided with a hair dryer, alarm clock, towels and toiletries.

I actually did all the food shopping before we got there as I didn't want to give away where we were going. I didn't know what to expect with regards to cooking, so I bought ready meals, I don't think they were too bad though, in fact I'd actually prefer them to a lot of the normal things I'd eat at home.

So, what did we do for the weekend? Well, pretty much nothing! Which is exactly what I wanted,  it was a proper relaxing break for us as a couple, because we pretty much never even get a day together due to me working full time week days, and then Ashley working nights and weekends. So, we stopped up late drinking lots of wine, cuddling on the sofa and watching Dvd's. We then actually had a bit of a lie on on the mornings. We went for walks around the park to do a bit of exploring. On site there was also an A La Carte restaurant, swimming pool, coffee shop and there were even fishing pools.

I think my boyfriend enjoyed it (I hope so anyway). I understand its probably not the kind of thing most 21 year old would want to do for their birthday and I kept thinking I was being selfish for dragging him away, but honestly, it was much needed for the two of us together :)

I would definitely recommend this park to anyone who's looking for a quiet getaway.

Balance Me. Wonder Eye Cream

I think everyone went out and bought the Glamour magazines when they had a choice of 4 Balance Me freebies a few months back. I actually purchased all 4 to try them out. I was only impressed with 2 of them, the Rose Otto Intensive Lip Salve, and this Wonder Eye Cream.

Balance Me. Products are lovingly created in the UK, and their philosophy is "beauty that works naturally". The amount of natural origin ingredients is clearly shown on the front of the products packaging. As you can see the Wonder Eye Cream contains 99% natural ingredients.

The eye creams triple-action formula helps revitalise eyes, reduce dark shadows, and smooth away the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by using ingredients such as chamomile, lemon, cucumber and witch hazel to sooth and brighten the delicate eye area.

It's recommended to lightly pat the cream around the eye area twice daily after cleansing and moisturising. You only need to use a tiny amount, so the tube will last a while! The cream itself is very light, refreshing and easy to smooth around the eyes. I find that it doesn't irritate my eyes like some other eye creams do.

Although I can't comment on the reduction of appearance of fine lines as I am only 20 years old, but I have noticed that it brightens the dark shadows, which I do tend to suffer with a lot. This is a reasonably priced eye cream, and has worked well for me so far.

You can buy this from Balance Me online at £14 for 10ml of product.

Review| Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Balm - Pink Crystal

I found this cute little product in Poundland not so long ago. There always seems to be Revlon products in there these days, and to be honest, I don't think anyone can complain. This particular product I'm guessing would have probably retailed around the £6-7 mark.

Although the packaging is simple it's pretty nifty. It comes in a small tub like most lip balms on the market, however this one is a little more sleek & sophisticated. There's also a hidden slot enclosing a lip brush, which is more hygienic than using your fingers to apply the balm.

I got the shade Pink Crystal, which is a hot pink colour with an iridescent glitter effect to it. Being a balm I wasn't expecting good colour pay off, but oh was I surprised! Just look at how bright and pretty it looks! It gives a really shiny, healthy glossy look to my natural lip colour while adding a tint of colour too.

The formula is quite stiff at first and does need a little warming up, but afterwards applies really well to the lips (maybe a little sticky, but nothing too off-putting). Unfortunately I didn't exactly find it moisturising in any way...but certainly not drying to the lips. With regards to wear time, I'd say a good couple of hours before needing to re-apply. I should mention how gorgeous it smells too... a fruity watermelon scent, yummy!

Overall this a great little product to carry around with you for touch-ups throughout a long day. Although I would probably describe it more of a lip gloss rather than a balm, its still brilliant, and I would definitely buy again. I'll see if I can find some other shades :)

If you'd like to try for yourself, check out your local Poundland store to see if you can find it.
If not, I've found a link for this on Amazon for just £2.69 HERE

Collection Cream Puff Moisturising Lip Cream - Cotton Candy

I've seen so many positive reviews on this product, so when I laid eyes on it in my local Superdrug a few weeks back I just had to buy it to try out for myself. I'm so glad I did and I'll be popping back to see what other shades they have to offer.

I really like the packaging, the colour matched tube and cute fonts really sell it for me. Although its a very reasonably priced product, the packaging certainly doesn't look cheap!

Cotton Candy is a muted pink shade with peach tones to it. This colour would be perfect for a natural make up look because its not bright and a matte finish. Its very wearable and would pretty much suit all skin tones.

Application is really easy, I love how it has a doe foot applicator similar to lip glosses, however provides the finish which you'd expect from a lipstick. The cream applies smoothly, & finishes with a soft velvety feel, but not drying on the lips. I wouldn't say that I'd describe this product as moisturising, but my lips are quite dry anyway, so I have been applying a small amount of lip balm beforehand.

This is a beautifully on trend lip product, & at a bargain price you can't go wrong, I can only hope Collection release more shades. You can purchase from Boots & Superdrug stores at £2.99 for 5ml.

Have you tried these, & which is your favourite shade?
Have you found any other brands which have a similar product to this?
