What's In My Glossybox, July Edition

Hey :)

Just wanted to share with you what I got in this months Glossybox and my thoughts and views of the products.

If you are not familiar with Glossybox, it is a monthly subscription service which costs £10 plus £2.95 P&P. Each month you will receive your box through the post and it will contain 5 luxury/higher end beauty product samples. You can subscribe by clicking HERE.

This months box has a "Festival" theme. The products inside are chosen specifically to keep you feeling and looking good on the go during the festival and summer season!

The packaging is the normal Glossybox pink and black themed box and wrapping. I've found a great idea from another blogger of a cute way to re-use Glossyboxes. I will reveal all in due course, I'll probably make a right mess of it though! :( Although I was quite surprised to find that I had no information card when I opened up the box so I had no idea what the theme of this box was or the actual values of the products so I've had to do a little research for this post!

Monuspa - Golden Glow Face and Body Bronzer 30ml
On first impressions I thought this was a shower gel of some sort, but after reading the back of the bottle, I've discovered that its actually a moisturising treatment for the body and face with a gradual tanning effect. It contains Shea Butter to nourish the skin, Vitamin E to anti-oxidise the skin, and Geranium oils to keep the skin smooth. It claims to give a natural looking bronzed tan within 3-5 hours. The only thing I don't like about this product so far is the strong floral smell. This would usually retail at £23 for 200ml of product.

Elizabeth Arden - Visible Difference Skin Balancing Lotion with SPF15 - 5ml
& 3 x 2ml sachets (Exfoliating Cleanser, Optimizing Skin Serum, Skin Balancing Lotion)
I've never tried any Elizabeth Arden products before but I know they are a well known brand and a lot of people love their products. I am looking forward to using the mini Skin Balancing Lotion. It has light formula and is oil-free, designed for combination skin and it claims to leave skin feeling healthy and radiant looking. I must say it did leave my skin feeling super luxuriously silky after the first use. Unfortunately I'm not expecting too much from the sachets as they are only just enough for one use. The Lotion would usually retail at £32 for 50ml of product.

Clynol Salon Exclusive - Enrich Colour & Care Shampoo 50ml
I've never even heard of the name Clynol before but I'm expecting good things from this shampoo. I've coloured my hair since I was about 13 years old and its not in great condition. But I always love to have a vibrant healthy looking hair colour, hopefully this will help me achieve just that. The shampoo is packed with liquid jewel extract to provide a "diamond like shine". It aims to reduce damage and resist colour fading. It says you should use it every day, but come on, who has the time to wash their hair everyday?! I'll be most impressed if this product manages to live up to its claims. It normally retails at £9.35 for 300ml.

Jelly Pong Pong - Ice Cream Pavlova Lop Frosting - 15ml
I absolutely adore this product, when I was having a nosey at what everyone else got while I was at work earlier this was one of the products I was really hoping to get. The packaging is so cute, the smell is gorgeous and it looks really pretty, honestly the name of it fits so well, it looks like frosting on the top of a cake, almost good enough to eat! You can use it on your lips to provide a gorgeous glossy shimmering shade of pink, or use as a cheek tint to provide a healthy glow. This is the full size product and retails at £10.

HD Brows - High Definition Brows Eyebrow Palette - Vamp
I know there has been a lot of hype around these eyebrow palettes, and a lot of other blog posts I've read today have mentioned they already have a lighter version of this palette from a previous Glossybox. On first impressions it looks fantastic and I'm quite excited to try it out! These 4 natural matte shades have been housed inside a handy handbag sized palette. They can be used as eye shadow, eye liner and to define your brows. I love everything about this product and it has to be one of the best products I've received in a Glossbox for a long time. This is actually the full size product and it retails at £19.95!

Overall I was really impressed with this months box. I think this is the first box that I will actually use all the products out of! I love that I've received two full size products which are both absolutely fantastic. Well done Glossybox, you've managed to keep me subscribed for another month! :)

What do you think of the products this month?!

  5. Love that you got the HD brow kit. Also Clynol is quite good! My old hairdressers used to use it on my hair. This is definitely the better of the glossyboxes this month!

    1. I received a Monu product in one of my boxes a couple of months back, I think it was a shower gel, not too sure. But I'm not too fussed with them really. I'd rather have make up related products xx

  11. I'm glad you liked your products hun! :)

I actually unsubscribed when I opened my box today. I'm over Glossybox lol.

I didn't get the shampoo (I'd have preferred that) or the HD Brows palette but I got one last time.

I was only happy with the Jelly pong pong, and when I thought I'd paid £12.95 for basically that one product I thought whats the point?! They disappoint me more often than not lately, I'm just gonna stick with She Said for a while
