Life Updates & Instagram Diary #1

Hello :)

So the sun has finally decided to show its face, I was beginning to think we weren't going to get a summer at all. I'm guessing everyone's out enjoying the sunshine today, or probably on a nice holiday considering a lot of people and all the kids have now broke up for the summer holidays, wish I was jetting off somewhere nice, but unfortunately moneys a little tight :(

I'm just sticking it out at work for now without a holiday and saving to pay off my car insurance. Looks like my insurance for this year is going to be around the £1200 mark, compared to nearly £2500 what I've paid for the past year! It's absolutely ridiculous that insurance companies can charge so much, its like we're pretty much just working to pay to get to work.

Speaking of work, I finally got my pay rise, which has been promised to me for months and months, I wasn't very impressed considering the huge amounts of work and responsibilities which have been dumped on me since my colleague went on maternity leave earlier this year! I'm always so stressed out and I end up having to stop over or go in early to catch up, because I literally work my arse off and there's just not enough hours in the day to get done what needs to be done! But at the end of the day I am grateful for the fact I have a full time job, it's secure *fingers crossed* and I am fully aware that there are a lot of people out there hunting for jobs and not hearing anything back, which can be really heart breaking at times (I know, I was unemployed for around a year after leaving college and it was honestly the worst time of my life!) All the advice I can say is, keep trying! & Honestly, don't be afraid to literally beg for a job, that's how I got mine.

Anyways, this weekend has been nice, me and my boyfriend went for a day out to Ironbridge (near Telford) yesterday. Normally, due to me working full time weekdays, and him working nights and weekends, its a rarity for us to get a day off together and it was nice to go on a little day out! We spent the day looking round the pretty little shops, sitting by the river for a while, and then we sat down in the beer garden at a lovely pub called The Malthouse, we had a lovely meal and a drink there, before walking back to the car, and we had a night in watching films and stuffing our faces :)

Today I'm pretty much just going to be drafting some posts for the coming week, as I do struggle to find the time to post around work! I've spent a little time in the garden this morning and cleaned out my car. But that's about it as far as activities for the day.

Coming to the end of this post I've realised just how much I can ramble on when I feel like it! Haha. Hope you don't mind too much!

  4. Your car insurance is so expensive?! £2500 :O Most mine has ever been is £990. Try a company called Admiral (they're linked to Elephant) they're usually quite cheap, I think you might get it cheaper than your £1200 quote anyway? Your hairs lovely with the full fringe!

  5. Stopping bu from the blog hop! Love your blog, super cute!
